We always use Rottnest Express. No matter which vessel you travel in you feel safe and comfortable. Nothing better to sit back and rest in anticipation of a day or visit to Rottnest Island. On time, clean and fun.

We took the Rottenest Express from Freemantle during winter. Very efficient service and we purchased tickets at the boat shed in Freemantle easily. Staff friendly and welcoming and efficient. Only issue is the price which would make many people think twice about going over. Pity as the Island is beautiful and worth the effort getting there. A local on the... More

I had an extended stay ticket for a recent weekend. I booked online and everything went smoothly. They knew who I was, where I was staying and luggage labels waiting for me. My luggage was collected from the boat and delivered to the room quickly. The same on the trip home - my luggage was collected and magically arrived at... More

Took the boat from Perth to Rottnest. This was a bit pricey (about $100 each) but was a great day out. The staff gave a commentary on the boat & there was a small bar onboard. (Free coffee!) They try to sell a bus trip on the island for about $40 but do not buy this. There is a hop on/off... More

What an exercise before boarding ferry.Do not presume your internet printout allows you to board ferry. You are required to exchange for a ticket at the office. An announcement preboarding would have been handy to know. Ferry clean well appointed .

I went on this ferry for the first time recently and it was amazingly hassle free considering how busy it was. They have a very organised system to carry many passengers along with their push bikes. We were a great of 4 with bikes and the check in was easy, the boarding a breeze and they handled our bikes with... More

If you book through a back packers or booking agency be prepared to get to the wharf early to exchange your receipt for the boarding pass. Cruisey and efficient ride.

We turned up at the wharf in Fremantle the staff were helpful and friendly. Booked return tickets with bike hire to Rottnest Island. Boat was on time and comfortable even though it was a bit choppy. As we got off on Rottnest island we were handed a bike and off we went. Rottnest is a fantastic place to visit nice... More

Hi Brett B, Whilst it can get a little bit bumpy on the crossing to Rottnest island at this time of year, our crew have had lots of practice on the water so are always on hand if you happen to feel under the weather. Thanks for the great feedback about our friendly team here at Rottnest Express and for... More

Nice walk to the roundhouse and very interesting! Pay by donation. Interesting facts to read when you're up there.
