Brilliant collection of paintings of the Danish Skagen painter colony weaved in with local history from the late 1800's. Works of Kroyer, Ancher, Drachmann, Tuxen, Krogh.

We walked up from the harbour in this picturesque town to the Museum where people had queued up for the morning opening in sunshine. Lovely setting. There is a shop, and we enjoyed the art.

Fantastic little museum, so lucky to come during this special exhibition - Kroyer in an interrational light. The house and gardens are pretty too, it's an absolute must if you're in Skagen.

We vere so lucky to visit the museum in the time of a special exhibition of paintings from Kroyer, but all the paintings are worth a visit
