This place is just amazing! The sights are brilliant. The staff are quiet friendly. For those who gave this a 3 star rating on here are wrong, and this ia why: there are facilities for English speaking people, if you want to know abput the history, you need to book for a trip advisor of that palace and chose your... This is a most beautiful palace in Latvia. Well worth a visit if you are in Latvia. Nice gardens around. And some apple orchard on the way to try some apples.

Rundales Pils (or Rundale Palace) was built by Rastrelli, the same person who designed the Winter Palace in St Petersburg. Unlike the latter which is crowded with tourists this was very quiet. Apart from the palace which is quite spectactular inside (and out) there are beautiful gardens to walk around too. If you can allow a few hours for your... More

Do not miss. As beautiful as Versailles. Worth going out of one's way. You can stay at another ducal palace, Mezotne, two kilometers away.

The palace has been beautifully restored and is full of antique furnishings and paintings, mostly portraits. It's well worth a visit. Eay to get to by car, harder by bus. Take the bus from Bauska and get off at the Pilsrunsdale stop. The palace is right there. We stayed at the Mezotne Palace near there and recommend it (see my... More

The visit to the palace was full of amazing delights. The restoration left little to the imagination of the opulent lifestyle of the rich and famous, however it was the garden that took your breath away. Every conceivable rose was in bloom and it went for as far as you could see. The smell of roses was beautiful and the... More

Rundale palace is very beautiful and intresting. Both the inside and outside is just amazing. The garden is very nice as well. I recommend seeing Rudale palace if you are in the area. It is something you will not regret!

Have been there several times. Rundale is probably the most beautiful palace with the park in the Baltics. It reminds both Peterghof (near St. Petersburg) and Versailles (near Paris). Designed by the famous architect Rastrelli. If you plan going out of Riga come to see it. Combine visiting this palace with another one Mezotne Palace located nearby.

The palace is interesting, but the try best thing is the garden, when all the roses are blooming - mid - end of june.

I read good reviews on this palace before we visited. The palace itself is stunning. However, only one wing of the palace is opened for visitors at the time we visited. There were some rooms under restoration. We could watch the restoration process at work. The ballroom of the palace was elegant almost as elegant as the the Versailles'. However,... More
