A lovely place all year round and especially in winter with snow 'slides' for the kids to enjoy. Beautifully landscaped and a treat for all the family.

This is a small hill (very small and not very high) situated adjacent to the beautiful canal and the surrounding park. It was created in 1857 and has memorial stones of 5 people killed by Soviets in 1991. Nonetheless, this hill provides very nice photo-op with beautiful background of canal and park. On top of it, there are many stone... More

A small hill in the town centre next to the canal side, lots of places to rest reasonably well kept and maintained , nice walks and decent views.

The canal-side parks (Bastion Hill, Kronvalda) are good places to relax & get a short respite from all the shopping, sightseeing & restaurants on offer in Riga. The location is quite central, a short walk from Vecrīga, so is easy to find. These two parks, comprising some 12 hectares of greenery, stretch along the Pilsētas canals for some 3.5 km.... More

It is possible to sit down for a while on the top of the hill. Riga canal is next to the hill,... More

It's fun to take a gentle stroll through this park, walk along the canal, relax and enjoy the moment of peace it offers. On a warm day there will likely be plenty of locals with the same idea.

This was a such a beautiful park to visit and walk around. It is beautifully landscaped with little bridges, flowers, and benches to sit on. There are statues throughout the park, a canal where you can rent small boats, a bridge with hundreds of locks that were placed by people pledging their love for each other and also a memorial...
