Disappointing that it is shut and that more information about its closure is not out there. As somebody that loved what must be its equivalent in Brussels (except East for West), it was sad to learn so late that it is shut. The taxi man knew, the hotel knew, but the publicity was not adequately honest, but it is a... More

We were here today after taking a look at Tripadvisor. We took a cab out to the museum, but it was closed and under construction. They had in the meanwhile moved the museum to another city 60km away and wasn't opening here before sometime in 2016. Should have been better informed at their site. I ended up shopping instead of... This museum has a lot of great vehicles in fantastic condition. I visited in its temporary location just before it moves to its new permanent location. You will now have to wait until spring 2015.

currently on temporary site, with not all vehicles on display (ticket price is also lower). but still has a good collection, including NSU, Auto Union, VW and Soviet speed record car, Packard, Zil, Zim. Worthwhile visit, though access can be inconvenient. Take Bus 23 to Ramova.

Could be interesting either if you are a huge fan of old motors, or for kids. Unfortunately, quite far from the centre, so not worth going if you are only on a very short visit.

It is almost out of city.if you are a visitor to city , would be hard to go there. And they need to improve their collection since full visit could take 20 min. Max.

Fabulous collection of mostly Soviet (though certainly not all) cars, motor-cycles and other vehicles. All in fantastic condition and with English descriptions.

If you are a person who is really into the past, present, and future of cars this should be a stop for you on your visit to Riga. They have an interesting collection of some weird soviet cars that famous Reds have road in. The displays are not well written about, but if you know something about cars you should... More
