I wanted to visit Rundale Palace so I went to Smile Line about a tour, you needed a minimum of 2 people for this tour. I gave them my email in case any one else booked the tour for the remaining days I would be in Riga. I was so happy to get an email that afternoon that I could... More

As it was our first time in Riga as on other city visits we find walking tours the best way to learn about the city and get our bearings. Gunta was our guide and spoke perfect english! She showed us the city in a fun, interactive and entertaining way. Our tour lasted one and half hours and we thought it... More

We were lucky as we were only the two of us for the tour. Private guide for us for only 15 euros per person. We enjoyed tasting the Black Balsam and the funny and terrible storis about Riga. Very good tour to have a quick and interesting overview of Riga in 2h !

We were led by Selga on this walking tour carried out in German. The guide deplored the years of Soviet invasion and occupation of Latvia catalyzed by the Ribbentrop/Molotov agreement. No particular mention of the german occupation of Latvia during the 2nd WW and the massive killing of Latvian citizen of jewish identity. Out of courtesy to the german audience?... More

Riga has more art nouveau buildings than any other European city (more than 750). To appreciate the beauty of this star Riga attraction, book a two-hour Smile Line art nouveau tour, given in May 2015 at 3 p.m. daily. We were especially fortunate to have Gunta Cupane as our guide. She was charming and extremely knowledgeable about the art nouveau... More

Very good tour, the tour guide spoke very good English. And was very informative. There was no need to book, we just walked up and booked on the day.

Riga is a city with a great history and, from what I have seen, a city with a great tomorrow! Full of beautiful buildings and interesting things to do, you could find your own way around Riga but you’d be far better advised to use the services of Smile Line. The Smile Line guides are to be found daily at... More

We completed 3 very good walking tours: Old Town, Jewish Ghetto and the Art Nouveau/Architecture Tour. All very informative. Tatiana was particularly well informed for the Art Nouveau/Architecture Tour.

We did 2 tours with Gunta in one day, and were lucky to almost have her to ourselves the whole time. She is extremely knowledgeable and we had a fantastic time - and we learned a lot!

It was my first time in Riga and I wanted to gain knowledge of the city and thought what better than a tour with a guide. My guide was Gunta (yes I had her to myself), who was very knowledgeable, with a lot of details about history, culture, lifestyle of Latvian people. She encouraged me to ask questions and was...
