James took me on a tour of Riga art nouveau architecture that I will not soon forget. I skipped a day with the tour group that took me to Latvia and I was not sorry. If time and energy had allowed, I could have done a second Art Nouveau tour the next day. There is certainly plenty to see. Who... More

We spent several hours with James walking around Riga. He came to our apartment to collect us and then we set off through the Central Market into the old town. We saw so many things that you would not know were there by yourself - all the little alleys and lanes to discover something new and different. Lots of great... More

It was a real pleasure to have combination tour of Riga's history and food with James. We took 1,5 hour walk with James in old town and he is absolutely great! Knew all the secret pathways and facinating stories of the city. I have been many guided tours and some of those have been boring and too full of numbers... More

We- 13 old farts- contacted James in advance of our Riga weekend, and he was absolutely first class. Arranged transport from the airport, and then a Beer & Black Balsam tour with the legendary Arturs, who knows all the bars and was a mine of information. Then, for a select few of us, a Sunday afternoon cycle tour with Artis-... More

We used Eat Riga to get the more Latvian view and they certainly succeeded, in fact I don't think there's anything they couldn't sort out for you. 9 of us went sailing on the Baltic and it was amazing and so well organised. Would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them!

We - a group of 8 girls visiting Riga - were so happy we booked that tour with James. We were satisfied to be one of the few tourists in Riga that saw much more than the pedestrianised and scenic old town. We choosed the tour in Moscow district and I personnaly had the feeling that we took a walk... More

Seeing Kipsala by bike was one of the most memorable parts of our stay in Riga. Artis was a wonderful guide! His enthusiastic descriptions of the history of the areas we went through really made them come alive. The cost of the tour was 15 euros for a 2 hour tour including the bike rental. Next visit to Riga, I... More

I joined one of the bike tours, which was great fun. I loved seeing the real Riga on the 3pm tour that took us to the old Moscow district with its wooden homes and cobblestone streets, the Jewish Cemetery and many other interesting places. To put it briefly: very friendly staff, fair prices (2.5hrs/15 euros), interesting facts about Riga and... More
