I was with my husband watching Riga Circus Christmas show. The show included music, familiar fairy tale characters, Santa Claus and very good African dancers. In the show was also animals, like dogs, goats, monkeys and crocodiles and I felt sorry for them. There was quite much spoken Latvian, which we naturally didn't understand, but it didn't matter much. I... More

Memories from childhood brought me baxk here in hope to refresh them.I remember how animals where brought to lobby for pictures and monkey stole a piece of my ice cream. I've been twice recently and unfortunately arena was only half full and arena is screaming for renovation. However, good side of it is show.still liked it and would suggest to others.

The Riga Circus is the oldest fixed-site circus in Europe, I believe. It is in the very city center, and it changes its program twice a year or so. The last time I was there with my nephew/godson, there were illusionists from America of the "show an empty cage, put a scarf in the empty cage, put a cloth over... More

Keep in mind it's a historic building and a historic show, and you won't be disappointed. It's not Cirque de Soleil, or Moira Orfei, but a peek into shows that were held hundred or so years ago when it was opened (well, minus the act on motorbikes). In my opinion, the young ones will enjoy it the most, but I'm... More

Nice and highly professional performances. Small arena, small lobby, small cloakroom, lack of fresh air. It is a very historical building and you have to keep it in mind. Then it will give you some nice experience.

If you like circus, go there, you won't be disappointed. The stuff they show is pretty much the same in other circuses, but still, it's cool, its awesome, it's fun.

I wanted to go there very very much, but when I arrived in front of it, I found it looks like a prison. The show is mainly about animals such as dogs and bears, so I quickly lost interest in it.

After walking past the Circus building in city centre Riga we decided to go get a ticket. The nice old lady spoke no word of English, only Russian! But she was clearly used to this and just wrote down the dates for the next circus showings and the ticket prices. We got 2 tickets, It came to about 8-12 laht... More

I always take my Son to this circus when I am in town - but really enjoy it too - you are really close to the action and depending on the programme you can get up and close to all the action - I would say this is a must visit.
