Very beautiful area as it over looks the park and the park is very beautiful. Worth checking out and enjoying the park.

We did not see any performances, but building itself and its surroundings is a must to visit. Great place to sit and relax with a view of beautiful flowers, fountain and canal nearby.

My wife and I have just experienced the opening performance of IL TROVATORE. Wonderful performance with Anna Nechaeva as Leonora, Murat Karahan as Manrico and Igor Golovatenko as Count Luna. The orchestra was equally good and the conductor superb. All this in a beatiful environment. Well worth the ticket price!

We were treated to a performance of this stirring opera on the Saturday evening of our stay, Apparently, it had been a great favourite of my mother and her sister, Gunta, when they were girls before the war, It was absolutely awesome and we had seats right at the front, Thanks Aunty!

Lovely building. Excellent performance by the Latvian opera company. You sit in real armchairs. Opera was in Italian but there is a running translation both in Latvian and English

With neither of us being a huge opera fan we weren't that excited. Well I can tell you it was AMAZING!

Saw Opera Carmen in Sydney opera house 3 weeks ago .paida staggering a$250 per seat For Very average show. Went to Carmen again last week but this time in Riga opera house. Preferred this interpretation. But the price of much much better Riga seats € 15. Enough said.
