Definitely join this tour if you want a glimpse into real Riga and not just the touristy Old Town. Martin was entertaining, funny and knowledgeable. The tour lasted about 2 and a half hours and never felt "bored".

This is a reasonable tour of the alternative side of Riga; you won't be seeing many of the main sights but you will hear and see things you probably wouldn't have seen if you don't do this tour. The guide was very quirky and informative. I've done many of these tours all over Europe (including the Tallinn and Vilnius ones)... More

Our guide was funny and well organized. he knew what he was talking about and always seemed like he was talking directly to you. We went to the Central Market and saw the Moscow district and the Jewish ghetto. He was extremely knowledgeable and could answer any question you could have. Great tour, definitely recommend it. You will NOT be... More

Don't join the tour if you want to see the Old Town. That was probably the first advice of our guide, Martin. Riga Old Town is fantastic but you should join this tour to know more things about Riga, the real Riga.

Great tour. We were staying in the old town and the tour makes a point take you away from the tourist traps and give you a taste of "real life" in Riga. It was absolutely freezing but well worth it! Our tour guide Archie was very knowledgeable. This an inside look at Latvian life not the picture normally presented to... More

Martin was a friendly, funny face of the city. He was knowledgable, entertaining, and had a great way with people. I bet he's popular with the ladies. The tour was bloody cold, but got me out of the old town, and showed me something of the real Riga. I recommend it highly.

On a cold day in November we were at 12:00 at the St. Peters Church for a free tour of the Old Town of Riga. Our tour guide, Toms, was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. During the tour we passed all the highlights of the Old Town, there was enough time for pictures and interaction and we got... More

I can't say this tour was bad but in comparisson with tours in other cities through Baltics I found this the weakest as we actually didn't see city centre at all. The guide was very straight forward and said if you want to see the old town you shouldn't join this tour and that was fair. Stories which he told... More

Locals rarely join this tour, according to the guide, and I can tell you - it's a pity. We know so little about our own cities and this tour is a great way to learn some more. This tour will take you away from Old Town and show you some of lesser known parts(even for Latvians). Also I must say... More

I hate to write a bad review, but it needs to be known, so others won't have the same waste of time. This was my fourth walking tour in less than a month, and I have to say this tour ruins it for all the Free Walking tour guides. Our guide, nameless because he never introduced himself within the first... More
