The 12 o'clock tour was the very first thing me and my boyfriend did in Riga. We got a good overview of the city and learnt a lot. While we do recommend the tour, we were a bit disppointed with the guide. She seemed to rush through the tour (supposedly for our sake, since it was quite cold) and wouldn't... More

I should open this review with a disclaimer: I love walking tours. It's a great way to take just a couple of hours and get to know the city you're in, while also being able to ask questions and hear unique stories. I did this tour as part of a solo backpacking trip, and I really enjoyed it a lot.... More

Without expectations we went to the church for a free tour. Turned out to be amazing, the guide showed us different parts of the city which we wouldn't have visited ourselves. Got some nice information about Latvia's history and the buildings we saw. Really recommended tour!

It was a pleasure be in the tour. It was cold and not many adhered. We were around the city discovering art nouveau and understanding more about the Latvian history. Great. Just got tired because of the cold weather.

I did this tour in the first days of January and it was very cold that day but we had a nice stroll with Kris. At the beginning it was a bit quick with not that much explanations, but from half the tour it got more interesting with more stories of Latvia and the life of Riga. We got to... More

My girlfriend and I did both tours during our weekend in Riga. Kris took the 12pm 'new town' tour on the Saturday and Michael took the 11am 'old town' tour on the Sunday. Both guides were really friendly, spoke perfect English and had a great knowledge of their city. We learnt so much and both guys clearly enjoy telling visitors... More

I took this tour yesterday and was very lucky that there was only four in the group. I'm told this is really unusual, and it meant that we got more time to chat with our lovely guide Martin. His English is probably better than mine (I am English) and he was an interesting guy with lots of cool ideas and... More

An excellent way to learn the history of Riga and Latvia generally and see the interesting sights of the Old Town of Riga. You even get professions allocated to you haha. .

Great free tour, well worth doing. Our guide Toms was full of interesting facts, and was extremely funny and did a great job in getting everyone involved and laughing. Plus he stayed on after the tour helping everyone make the most of the city, even ringing around to venues to help us get booked. Super helpful and friendly, highly recommended!

We joined the free tour at St Charles Church. The tour did not spend much time in the old town though. We were quickly heading out to the adjacent areas as we stepped through the history of the city, its people and the various influences that have shaped it. We really enjoyed the anecdotal stye fo the guide who was... More
