Each of the Baltic countries have a similar museum of occupation. Estonia's, located right outside Tallin's Old City, focuses on the German and the two Soviet occupations right up to 1991. Privately founded, it's a fascinating look into the past few decades and provides an insight into what the population went through under the Nazis and Communists. It features articfacts... more

The Museum of Occupations is a small, modern, light-filled building quite unlike a traditional museum. It is concerned with the German and Soviet occupations of Estonia in the 20th century. Captions are in Estonian but a free printed English-language guide is available.
