We visited Soomaa National Park in August 2014 and decided to do the guided tour in order to have the maximum experience in just one day. The €50 price included the 6-hour walking and canoeing tour and a lunch (sandwiches, cake and juice - all homemade and delicious!). The bogs were incredible and such a unique form of nature to... I would love to do the Soomaa.com summer day tour while staying in Parnu a few days this September but I will be paying for two and 50 euro each (70 from our hotel in Parnu!) seems very expensive. It will cost me 140 euro for the day. Is it worth it? My only second option is to catch the... More

Thank you for rising this value/money issue Westyorkshireman! I am one of the owners and guides who run Wilderness Experiences in Soomaa National Park. So, I can not respond to your question, but I hope some of our customers can reply. Anyhow, I am glad that I am NOT doing Soomaa trips for money, I do it because I like... More

Certainly the trip would be great, just a shame that the contact doesn't work! It's best to call from a Estonian phone number. Foreign phone numbers are ignored and they also do not reply mails! I'm very disappointed!

This is a terrific 3-day self-guided trip. We did it with our three children aged 12, 12 and 14 and we all loved it. Day 1 is a 45km cycle through back roads and picturesque countryside. The cycling is flat and easy and the bikes supplied are comfortable and well maintained. We stopped to swim in the Parnu river and... More

Our self-guided tour through Soomaa national park managed by Aivar Ruukel and his crew from soomaa.com was a great nature experience with a canoe trip on both Lemmjögi and Raunda jögi, two quiet rivers through the national park, all equipment is provided - and we got a comprehensive introduction in the history of the park, its wild life and the... We took the one day guided tour for 50 euro per person, Algis our guide was priceless, unbelievably knowledgeable and willing to share. The day started with a movie at the exhibition center that explained the parks ecosystem and it's floorings, after that we went on a canoe trip, and this is where Algis made it worth the money, as... Had a chance to visit Soomaa end of September. It was cold but it was worth it. Walk through the National Park, did some canoeing, tried the best local Estonian food, walked through 10,000 years old bogs. If you go there i suggest contact Aivar Ruukel, he will give you a true local insight to the park.

I had the opportunity to visit Soomaa National Park in October, which is after the popular summer tourism season but still very pleasant (not too hot, not too cold), and - thanks to our wonderful local guides Aivar and Algis - had a very relaxing, memorable and educational experience canoeing and walking around the national park. If you're interested in... More
