This is a commune area! I have been staying at a hostel here and It is next to the old town. I love the idea of this place and take a visa stamp for stopping in! I really never seen any art yet but the stories about when things happen here are really cool! People seem to like this place... More

This district is must to be visited. You never know what kind of art object is waiting for you behind the next corner. Swing under the bridge and Uzupis constitution are my own favourite things in this odd district of Vilnius.

I chose a hostel in this area as it sounded like a place I'd love. There was nothing special near the hostel. I found the angel, the wall with the 'constitution', a bit of street art, a couple of quirky shops and a blacksmith's forge/shop with lovely (though also heavy and expensive) decorative pieces for sale. And that was sort... More

Uzupis is a truly unique neighborhood of Vilnius. It is part of the historic Old Town yet has a character of its own. There are many interesting shops & art galleries in Uzupis. The outdoor cafes are very popular during the summer season. There are panoramic views of Vilnius from Uzupis - especially on the hill which is near the... More

We first visited as part of the free waking tour. The area clearly has a different vibe to the rest of the city and is a quaint and enjoyable area to walk around, eat and drink. Don't miss the street with the constitution written on glass in various languages. Very funny and at the same time levelling.

An interesting area with some very good restaurants and an authentic Lithuanian feel. Not as tourist as the old town.
