The Republic of Uzupia is a must-see. It's near the main Cathedral in Vilnius, accessed by bridge. Immediately one sees quaint houses, like in some fairy-tale books, restaurants on stilts beside the river and little traffic. It's so peaceful in there. Uzupis is an arty little area which has declared independance, so has its own constitution. We visited mainly to see the mermaid and the angel which are symbols of the area and look pretty good.
