A nice small museum and tower up the hill giving a very good view of the town, the rail cabin to go up is a good advantage if you don't want to climb the steep hill

It is only a short walk up from the cathedral square (or a short cheap ride on the funicular from the river-side of the hill) and should feature on all visitor's itineraries. The tower itself houses a small museum about the history of the... More

The picture of Gediminas Tower is I believe used as The Emblem of Vilnius. Beautifully restored building and surrounding area, contains some interesting artefacts.

This is the best spot to get an overview of Vilnius. The walk up the hill might leave you winded, but there is a gondola lift which is also fun. The exhibits in the tower helped me understand the history of Lithuania better. This was a great stop in an ancient city.

Great views of Old Town from up on the hill, plus across the river. Can take a funicular up or walk.

If you're looking for fantastic views of old and new Vilnius, you can't beat the view from this hill. The tower is an easy climb via the cobbled trail behind the cathedral or a short ride up the funicular, which you can catch from the national museum courtyard. There is no charge to climb the hill. The museum that is... More

For beginners or someone that dont walk or climb a lot - do not wear high heels or boot heels. Its under construction but still you got a nice view to look all over the city from top.
