There is a very nice view of vilnius and surroundings - just beware of the path, it's paved with rocks and it's easy to slip. It's worth a visit

Walk up the lovely path or take the funicular for a couple litas to the remains of the upper castle and tower. Admission to the tower is only a couple litas and well worth it. There is only one spiral staircase, and so if it is crowded not all the visitors could manage a "sharing" of the narrow stair. You... More

The tower is what remained of the entire fortification, but the views are stunning, both to the Old Town and new neighborhood and surrounding suburbs. A great place to watch the sunset!

Now, after removing trees, Vilnius Upper Castle looks like a real castle not like some hill with some ruins.

Nice three story tower, and great views but they closed the doors 20 mins early! So many people came up to the door just to be dissapointed. Not good business! Many attractions and sights close before they are supposed to here so make sure you come early enough.

A steady climb but an easy walk to Castle Hill to see the ruins of the Upper Castle. A small fee allows you to see the restoration work on the tower and read about the 1989 peaceful demonstration known as the Baltic Chain of Freedom where about 2million Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians linked hands along the Baltic Way. Then venture... More

A nice walk to a very interesting place. Once there the view is fantastic. There is also a funicular to get there, but the walk offers a nice scenery.

There are lots of reviews on this one and I do not have to add another lengthy one.We came in quite late (they close at 19.00), so we headed for the top directly. Not disappointed - great views. Well worth the money.

The tower itself houses a museum, that is not that large. Just some items with very little information. There were several videos about Lithuanian independence etc running in one room, in Lithuanian. Still quite interesting, even though you might not understand the language. The views from the top are great, you can see a lot of the city and also... More
