Over this past decade, the area of the Tower has been improving and you can now get a better sense of the layout of the original Vilnius nearly a millennium ago. Prior to the opening of a couple... After a sweaty walk to the top in 30 degrees we were awarded with a fantastic view over the city. You can go up in the tower if you want but it cost money.

From here you have a wonderful view of Vilnius. You can see the New Town, on the other side of the Neris River and the Old Town. Also you can reach top the hill via elevator.

Like a tooth stump on top of the hill the castle draws you in It has a spiral staircase and large windows with ledges that gives you panoramic views across the city The top of the tower also has a room with a historic display As with a lot of monuments in Vilnius it does not take long to do

Spectacular views of the city make it well worth the climb. The stone footpath is not too steep, although I suggest using the handrail near the top, especially on the way down as the well-worn rocks can sometimes be slippery. We were fortunate enough to have a bright sunny day when we made the climb, and I was able to... More

A perfect place for couples, above all at night. The climbing is nice and the sight amazing. The perfect place for those who like romanticism. You cannot leave Vilnius without having visited it. Remarkable the nice tower, one of the symbols of this nice city!

There is a funicular but walking is more interesting as you get to have various glimpses of the city on the way up. Once you get to the tower you can climb to the top for a small fee that is well worth it. Great overview of Vilnius
