There are lots of reviews on this one and I do not have to add another lengthy one.We came in quite late (they close at 19.00), so we headed for the top directly. Not disappointed - great views. Well worth the money.

The tower itself houses a museum, that is not that large. Just some items with very little information. There were several videos about Lithuanian independence etc running in one room, in Lithuanian. Still quite interesting, even though you might not understand the language. The views from the top are great, you can see a lot of the city and also... More

Although it is not for the tired traveler as the hike up the steep hill is challenging to some, it is well worth the view at the top.

Gediminas Tower provides the perfect vantage point to see all of Vilnius at once. The tower & castle beside it are all that remains of a 13th C fortification which once crowned Gediminas Hill. The walk up isn't too steep, it is just behind Cathedral Square. There is a small museum in the tower costing 7lt, open 10-7pm in summer.... More

A visit to the tower is good value costing 7 litas. The view from the top provides a great view of Vilnius and its surrounds. There's interesting minature scale models and photos of the castle over the years on the two floors before the top. The work up to the castle is not to taxing.

Nice view on the old town, but I think it's not fair price for so poor exposition. Some historical anti-Polish lies in museum, but it's typical in Lithuania.

Whether you make the treck to the Gediminas Tower by foot, or opt to take the enclosed escalator, you will be in for 360 degree breath-taking view of Vilnius. The tower itself is not as impressive, but definitely bring your camera, as you will be snapping away at the beautiful panoramic views all around. It is a must-see destination while... More

Not like most castles in Europe, but still a fun little walk. Great view of Vilnius from the top. Nice place to hang out for 20-30 minutes but any more can get boring.

This is located behind the old town and is an imposing tower on top of a large hill. There is a funicular/tram that goes up and down however it is better if you can to walk it, the views you see change from natural scenery to the business district the higher you go. Entrance into the tower is 7litas but... More

The tower is the remaining part of the Upper Castle in Vilnius, Lithuania. You can either climb to the top of the hill or take the funicular. The climb up is a sloping circular stone walkway on a fairly steep grade. It's not bad if you take your time and stop for breaks on the way. The tower houses an... More
