Small but interesting

This was a place on my "to visit" list on Vilnius as I'm interested in art and literature. It was cool to see but I had expected from the reviews that it would be a bit better... read more

Pretty nice piece of wall full of small artworks. Nice to see, but nothing special. More interesting for us were small streets all around with tatoo saloons, painter workshops, small family shops, etc. Great for a walk!

This was a place on my "to visit" list on Vilnius as I'm interested in art and literature. It was cool to see but I had expected from the reviews that it would be a bit better and more to see. I still enjoyed it but was glad it was a stop on my city tour rather than going out... More

This was probably my favorite thing in Vilnius--an outdoor gallery of art that is free to everyone and that shows a variety of art. I mean...it's amazing. This is what every city should be like!

This street in the old town thas been decorated with art related to famous writers and writings. An interesting curiousity if you happen to be nearby.

Artworks mounted on the walls of the Literatu street (Literatų gatvė) are dedicated to the literature workers: writers, translators.

This is very close to the orthodox churches we visited and the shopping area, worth a look also. There a few nice restaurants and cafes also off this street.

You've got to love the idea of local artists creating a space to put up micro mixed-media pieces that commemorate local writers (and others) but some of the execution is a bit odd and confusing. Don't miss the street, by all means, it's in the wonderful Old Town where you never know what's going to happen, but if you miss... More

Nice passageway on the way from the main street (Pilies) of the Old Town towards St. Ann's church. Street walls are decorated by roughly 200 dedications to Lithuanian literats as well as to the foreign literats who made a big influence for Lithuanian culture. Dedication plates are made in different techniques and everyone is a creation of art. Don't miss... More

There are many street style exlibris on the wall, dedicated to Lithuanian writers. Each one is a miniature artwork. Definitely worth to turn from the main Pilies str. and it's on the way to St.Anne church.

Lots of miniature works of art representing famous Lithuanian (and possibly other Eastern European) authors. Worth a look if you are passing. I just wish I knew more about the authors do I could appreciate the artworks more!
