This is a city for walkers who like to drink good beer [ €1.50 per 0.5l] each corner has something different. Forget te map, just wander.

The old town is the nicest place in Bratislava, i would say. It is a quiet, lovely place with cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops etc. There's no so much to do other than having a lovely walk towards the historic center and enjoy your afternoon.

Old town is perfectly walkable, with beautiful, well-preserved buildings from Bratislava's past. The sights are the attraction, not so much the shopping or the historic buildings, many of which aren't open to the public in any event. But put all together, they make for a nice place to stroll on a sunny afternoon. I wandered around for several hours, and... More

the old town is really pretty with an array of different shops. It was much cheaper than in other euro zones. The people are very friendly too.

Worth an afternoon walk, a few pics and possibly enjoy a latte among the many cafes/restaurants. Good vibe, good value for money, crowd rather friendly and you do bump into a few tourists.

Nice place to walk and look. All the statues they have put out are entertaining and funny. You can shop and eat.

We picked the perfect time to visit Bratislava's Old Town, off-season. We, along with the locals and a half full of visitors, seemed to have the whole town to ourselves. We were able to wander the streets and taken in the beautiful architecture and atmosphere of the little town. Although it's quite compact and you could rush and see everything... More

This was my third time in Bratislava, just stopped for a city center view. Cute as always, not that expensive (ice cream, for example 0,70 EUR). Nice small narrow streets, not that crowded, recently very good polished (compared to roads, which could be otherwise quite poor) and very clean. Parking however in the city center : avoid it ! 7... We walked for hours around the streets, so much to see and do and plenty of places to stop for a drink, ice cream or something to eat. Fascinating.

Just back from a nice, long weekend in Bratislava. In the old city centre you find a lot of history including historic buildings and museums. Even though a bit touristic the centre is not really that crowded and you quite easily find nice cafe's and restaurants. Highly recommendable place to visit.
