not a huge collection but good

The museum has got some good historic and heritage artifacts of the Slovak past. The bell tower provides good views of the city.

Many fascinating exhibits plus the bonus of being able to climb the tower and see both the squares on either side of the museum. We were particularly fascinated by the painted shooting targets which served to illustrate some important events in the town's history. With the City Card and being retired the three euro entry for us both was a steal

located in a lovely old building in the main square in the old town hall, the museum gives a round view of the city's archaeological history and development. It has an interesting collection of beautifully decorated archery targets. the tower gives a good view of the old city rooftops. interesting old clock there too

If you have children .. then this is the place to keep them occupied .. if you are two oldies like us then it kept us happy for a few hours as well. Take the lift to the top floor and work your way down .. its easier . Most of the exhibits have English translations .. so it gets... More

My husband and I took a day trip to Bratislava and decided to check out this museum with fairly low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised about how big it is and the information it covers. I believe it was €5 per person and we spent about an hour there. Bonus point: You can go up to the top of a... More

I stumbled upon this museum late in the day and spent about an hour - because it was closing. The things I saw were interesting for certain. I was unable to find the bits more interesting to me, and the ladies at the desk were unhelpful. However, it was nevertheless a good visit.

It is situated in the Old Town Hall. For 6 EUR you will see an interesting exposition of various objects related to Bratislava. The town Hall itself is also very beautiful and also you will be able to go up the tower, where you will be able to see city centre from the top.

We stopped her to gain a bit of history about bratislava, but the museum doesn't quite deliver. It shows a lot of artefact that span a the history of the city but it is not clear of the relevance and the rooms are not in chronological order, so it is confusing as to the importance and the time line. Recently... More

The City History Museum in Old Town Hall is one of the larger museums in Bratislava. (Note that the Bratislava City Museum technically encompasses several other sites in the city, with tickets sold separately). The staff were not particularly patient or understanding with my rudimentary Slovok, which made admission difficult and coloured my experience. The employees who silently follow you... More
