Great collection of city history and fantastic walk in the old building. Do not miss to walk up to tower and admire the splendid view of city.

We recently revisited the Bratislava City Museum (€5 per adult), which opened in 1868 and is probably Bratislava's most comprehensive and best overall museum. Here you can find a nice collection of historical artefacts and information about the lives of people of Bratislava from the medieval period through to the 20th century. While the rooms are generally arranged in a... More

Interesting to see the history of the city trade exhibits but not sure why a display about city bakers shared a cabinet with a midwifery display. Overall I was left confused as to the history of the building having been sent to the top of the building via many winding stair cases only to see empty rooms! However it passed... More

We stumbled into the museum because we wanted to climb the tower of the Old Town Hall which now houses the museum. Admission was really cheap (5 euros each) and they had interesting artifacts from the city's history dating back to when it was the capitol of Hungary. The best part was the tower. It would be great in daytime,... More

I stumbled across this by accident. I didnt even know it was here. I ended up going through this arched entry way into a courtyard then I saw the signs for the museums. It only cost 5 Euro and there is a lot of interesting things to see. Your ticket also includes the tower which gives you very nice views.

This is an okay museum to visit and learn a bit about the city of Bratislava. The staff are not very friendly. They are very insistent on which direction you walk. Sometimes it's nice to go back and look at an exhibit after another group has finished seeing it. We were being followed and stared at the entire time by the... More

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, so Iheaded to the city museum. The entrance is hidden beyond an arch way. For 5E you can see the entire museum which gives a history of the city. There are lots of artifacts and all well labelled in English, German and Slovak. Great views of the square from the windows too. The museum... More

The entrance to this beautiful nugget is hidden in a small off street courtyard ! You really can't imagine from the exterior how large this hidden jewel really is ! The museum is crammed with priceless objects alongside many other hidden treasures ! Make sure you give yourself at least two hours to get round and be aware it closes... More

Arrived with a tour which explored thee town but did not address the Bratislava Castle. We had a free afternoon so a friend and I climbed the hill to tour the castle. I am sure that we found the most difficult way to get up to the castle - look at a map first and find the roads that are... More

We went here without realizing we would get such a nice view on top of the tower. The price for adults is 5 euros, for students 2 euros. For us this averaged out in 3,50 per person, which was totally worth the climb up the tower. On top, you can go outside and walk all the way around and have... More
