The Bratislava city museum is one of the oldest in Slovakia which documents the history of Bratislava from the earliest times to the present. The museum deals apart from the city`s history to viticulture, interiors, arms, pharmacy, clocks & historical places like Devin`s castle etc.Worth the visit to know about the history of the country & city.

This is a cheap museum but very interesting with its different exhibits of Bratislava history. Definitely worth a visit! It will take about an hour or an hour and a half to get through. Good for kids too.

Found it a little dull to be honest. I was hoping for more info about the city during the communist days but this seems to have been skipped over. The women who prowl the corridors/ rooms can be a little intimidating!

In the cellar under the museum the National Wine Institute holds the 100 best rated Slovak wines (white, rose and red). Not all the wines are great but the place is definitely worth a visit. Prices are very reasonable (see photo).

The museum was interesting, but the best comes after you climb the steep stairs leading to the top of the tower, from where you have a nice view of a part of the city. The visit takes about 1 hour and costs 4-5€ per person.

The museum has got some good historic and heritage artifacts of the Slovak past. The bell tower provides good views of the city.

Many fascinating exhibits plus the bonus of being able to climb the tower and see both the squares on either side of the museum. We were particularly fascinated by the painted shooting targets which served to illustrate some important events in the town's history. With the City Card and being retired the three euro entry for us both was a steal

located in a lovely old building in the main square in the old town hall, the museum gives a round view of the city's archaeological history and development. It has an interesting collection of beautifully decorated archery targets. the tower gives a good view of the old city rooftops. interesting old clock there too
