Interesting Museum

In the Old Town Hall is the City museum. We found the historical info to be interesting. There are several great and well preserved rooms. Includes a visit to the tower.

This museum is located in the old town hall. It starts with religious art, next a climb to the clock tower and a beautiful view of the city. Than a lot about the history of Bratislava. The last part is dedicated to trades, guilds and crafts, My biggest surprise were shooting targets with the king painted upon ???

We visited this wonderful city museum on a rainy day and it turned out to be a great way to spend two hours. The exhibits are spread out over many rooms and trace the history of the town hall, the city, the guilds, and its many civic associations. this is an amazingly spacious exhibit that can easily absorb two hours... The museum is located in the City Hall - enter under the arch and the door to the right. I would say the museum is split into 3 parts. The first few rooms are dedicated to religious items that haven't been displayed before. This worried us - we wanted history! But don't worry, it gets better :) The 2nd part... More

The Bratislava city museum is one of the oldest in Slovakia which documents the history of Bratislava from the earliest times to the present. The museum deals apart from the city`s history to viticulture, interiors, arms, pharmacy, clocks & historical places like Devin`s castle etc.Worth the visit to know about the history of the country & city.

This is a cheap museum but very interesting with its different exhibits of Bratislava history. Definitely worth a visit! It will take about an hour or an hour and a half to get through. Good for kids too.

The City Museum is located just off of the Old Town square. On the first floor are some models of the City and exhibits. However descend to the second floor and stand in line for a walk up to the tower with a great view of the old town. We visited the museum on a Sunday when all the sites... More
