The building is nice and maybe the view from the tower. There is some explanation in English to all items, but the personel do NOT speak a word of English, German or French, I am sorry to say.

The town hall dates between 1370 and 1550. It has an imposing Tower which is open to visitors and a pretty tiled roof design. It overlooks the beautiful main square with its fountain and interesting sculptures. It encloses a pretty courtyard in one corner of which is a cafe and craft shop. The staff are Downs syndrome with a supervisor... More

The interior of the Town Hall is not particularly interesting, except for the former courtroom, where you can find magnificent cabinet. But the view from tower is simply the best in Bratislava.

Dating from the 14th century, the oldest town hall in Slovakia houses its capital's oldest museum as well as the most detailed exhibits on the city's history. You can easily spend an hour learning about the development of Bratislava since its golden age when it was the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary and then part of the larger Habsburg... More

the museum was very boring for us. But the key visit moment (5 stars) was to climb the tiny and steep stairs up to the top and then do not hesitate to open the door and walk around the top of the tower (360°) an amazing view on the historic quarter is available and you can enjoy it . We... More

You can find the Old Town Hall building on the main square in the city center. This is where you find the Bratislava City Museum and clock tower, which you can climb and taken in some nice views of the main square and city. The Museum (5 Euro adult) is a great attraction to visit, as is the accompanying tower,... More

In the old town hall is a great historical museum of Bratislava. It is in Old Town Square, next to the Primate Palace.

The museum contained interesting exhibits charting the history of the city. I particularly liked the the photographs taken around 1900 - 1930 from which you can see that some parts of the old town look pretty much the same while other parts of the city have changed quite a bit. There are some everyday items that have been saved from... More

Great place to visit, different things to see at different times. Usually used to show museum exhibits.

As other reviews have mentioned, this museum houses a surprising collection of artefacts and is definitely worth a visit. If you only have time for one museum, I'd take a few hours to explore the history of the city here.
