This is typical 60's/70's communist era architecture that is an absolute blight on the skyline of Bratislava. It is of boring design & adds nothing to the area. To think that large parts of the old city were destroyed to make way for this monstrosity beggars belief. The only reason to visit the bridge is for access to the UFO... More

While it was a cloudy and gray day during our visit, from the Bratislava Castle, we had wonderful views of the Novy Most (meaning New Bridge), which rested on the outskirts of Bratislava connecting the two sides of the Danube River. The bridge was constructed in 1972 and serves as a reminder of the communist times. From what I read... More

The New Bridge (although more than 40 years old) is a very interesting symbol of the architecture of 1970s. Because of it part of the downtown was destroyed. It is worth it to go to the tower or UFO restaurant and enjoy the view or simply walk to the other side of Danube river - there is a nice park... More

Just another bridge connecting the two sides of the Danube river and overlooked by the UFO tower restaurant. Nothing special

This bridge has become city icon just because of UFO but for too high price. It is dividing old town like a scar.

It's worth walking over the bridge for the UFO tower on the other side. But apart from that, just another bridge really...

If not for that, this bridge would simply be a dull, ugly remembrance of communist times. And that doesn't even take into consideration the neighborhoods which were destroyed in its path.

To reach the UFO one must walk on the bridge. It is a good safe walk to the restaurant. Good view of the river river during sunset. Not worth it if you not visiting the UFO.
