You can have a great view of the danubio river and the bridge, as well as apreciate the clean water! The castle itself is also beautiful and well conserved. If you walk a bit around you can have nice views from the old town.

A must to see! Great views of the Danube and City we had drinks at the top in a cafe which was a welcome pit stop because it's quite a walk up there but worth it for the views and also interesting

I have arrived in Bratislava in the afternoon from SW. The afternoons sun coloured the castle. It was so beautifull that I have skiped the lunch in hotel and go directly to the castle. A light walking of max. 15 minutes (later I have discovered that there are different options to go to the castle). Unfortunatelly I have no time... More

Good walk up to the castle from the centre, but not too intense. Great views from up there, definitely worth a visit and some pictures. Didn't go inside as we were short for time and only in Bratislava for one day.

The out side was pretty, the views are stunning. The prime ministers had just arrived for a conference when we got there. We walked up the hill instead of taking the tram.

This castle has been restored from dereliction in the 1960s to a splendid building with an impressive music hall complete with organ and a very interesting museum of Slav history including information on their involvement in the second World War. There was very little information about their time during the Russian occupation. The grounds are delightful with spectacular views across... More

A great spot to start exploring Bratislava. It provides great views of the old city and the Danube. Went into the courtyard but did not have time to visit any of the exhibitions, for which there is a charge. Otherwise entrance is free. Enjoyable walk from here down to the historic streets of the old city.

The view was amazing from the top. It is a short walk (really only 10 mins up hill) which is manageable by most (cobbled streets though). Don't let the walk put you off as the view is worthwhile!

castle is located on hill over city. Walk through location and feel history from Slave times to maria Teresia. And of course there are impressive views over the city. In summer there is nice place to reast or have picnic in area. Inside there are worthy historical exhibitions. Recommended place.

This was our stop before the city tour ended and took us to the old town. It was definitely well worth it. A beautiful castle with beautiful scenery... You can see the whole spread of the city from here. Unfortunately we had to rush a bit since we were only given 15 minutes by our city tour guide to take... More
