Great place to have a coffee and strudel and watch the world go by. Try Cafe Meyer or Roland's Cafe.

It's a lovely area to walk around and see all the different statues. You can go in the evening and it is still nicely lit up :)

Go on – take the tour. Download the list & find the statues – pavement/eye/roof level. It adds a dimension to your walk and some photos/selfies to your collection

The whole area around Hlavne Namestie is very beautiful. It's tranquil and a great place to spend some time relaxing in the city.

It's small, it's intimate, and it's fantastic for people watching. Christmas Markets in the winter, a fountain in the summer... it's the heart of old town, and it's always worth dropping by.

I have been here at christmas time. The lights in the Old Town and around Hlavne Namestie (Main Square) are just beautiful. The whole area is just charming and you feel like magic happening all around. The christmas market is also worth time spending on and the statues around are just funny and stunning, I think unique items of Europe.

We really enjoyed Hlavne square today during our day trip to Bratislava. It has been restored beautifully and had lots of interesting shops, kiosks, and cafes.

We were wandering around the old town and came across this square. Very pretty and certainly not to be missed. There are several statues and monuments around here and even a couple that move when you put money into the hat. A central location and the start of several organised tours.

In the centre of Old Town, it's the starting point of tourist groups and independent travellers too.A lot of historical buildings around, like the Old Town Hall, the Palace of the Hungarian Exchange Bank, the Museum of the City History etc. It's a spacious square, noisy and lively. In the middle the famous Roland Fountain (1572) catches the eye. Beautiful... More

Any Bratislava visit will pass by this incredible square! I enjoyed the mix of old buildings (like the old Town Hall) and internationality (the Japanese Embassy). In Summer furthermore it must be very lively. Don't miss the statues on and around the square.
