During our stay in Bratislava we took a taxi to the Museum, located on an island in Donau, close to the Hungarian border. This was early season so the boat tour was not operating. The location of the museum makes it isolated, no other services around. The museums cafe was closed during our visit in April. The architecture of the... More

You need to have the time to take a car / taxi for 20 km in an island in the middle of the Danube, outside Bratislava to see this museum with its beautiful collections from miscellaneous artists. The island on the Danube makes this visit memorable.

Fantastic setting to showcase and enjoy modern art. The river surrounds you. The original building and the extension work together beautifully, as does the sculpture garden. It is out of the way, you need a car or a bus ride, but worth the visit if you are interested in modern art. I understand there is a regular boat from Bratislava... More

Wow! This is one Gem you shouldnt miss on your trip to Bratislava. The location is unique and adds alot to the museum itself. The pieces are well arranged and selected ! There is a direct bus line that goes to the museum, but it only goes 5 times a day so prepare the trip. I didnt ;) and ended... More

The indoor and outdoor setting is different to other museums I have been to. Situated along the Danube river, it is a nice place to visit a bit away from the city center.

This is not easy to get to by public transport and the 90 bus does not go to the door.Having said that it is housed in quite a stunning building with lovely high galleries with large windows looking to the Danube which let in lots of light and allow the river scene to be incorporated into your viewing. Outside there... More

wonderful combination of art, architecture and nature. Indoor and outdoor. We combined this with a pleasant bike tour from Bratislava along the Danube. Loved it.

It definitely worth a visit. More than the exposition, the location is amazing: both sides plus a park on the Danube river.

Great atmosphere, the best place of modern art gallery ever visited. I love to spend peace and quiet moments there on Sunday mornings.

Love Danubiana location and space. Large variety of different arts. Very specious offering art styles to suit most tastes. Loved all the displays and the art exhibition was fantastic. Very high quality artwork. Outside scenery is spectacular with the view of Bratislava’s castle. Highly recommending.
