Not enough time to explore authentic suburbs of Bratislava yourself? Then join our 2-hour or 4-hour Post socialist Bratislava city tour. Not enough time to get the taste of Slovakia? Then join our Slovak Village Pub Crawl. Tired of the city rush? Try Little Danube Canoe Trip. Need of the mountains? Go for our 1-day hiking trips. Longing for travelling back to the past? Visit spooky ruins during our 1-day castle tours. However, having stayed only in Bratislava, you can hardly say you have seen authentic Slovakia. Allow yourself 2 days or more to explore mountainous areas off-the-beaten-track. For real nature freaks we have prepared great hiking trips. If you are greedy for mysterious touch with medieval times, you will find it at gloomy castle ruins watching deep Slovak forests from above. « less

What a fantastic, unhurried tour with a friendly guide (Brano) who was able to give us just the right amount of information. Travelling in a retro eight-seater (which added to the experience) we got a wonderful insight into what life would have been like under "the regime" and how things have changed very much for the better of recent years.... Quite simply - there is no way I would have seen as much without going on this tour. Some of the stops are barely on maps, never mind on Trip Advisor. We chose to take this tour the day after arriving which was a great decision as we covered a large area of the city which gave us bearings for... More

We enjoyed the short castle trip with Peter. Despite heavy rains, we got to see and experience a whole different side of tourism. Peter was great - he knew tons, and it was great to ask random questions about the people, country and history, and get real answers. The castles were great, we had them all to ourselves. Far better... More

My mum & I took the 2 hour Post Soviet Tour with Peter in the 1972 blue Skoda. We found it an interesting contrast to the more popular tourist sights we'd experienced during our 5 night stay in Bratislava. Peter has a knack of imparting a great deal of knowledge without it sounding dry or stuffy. We loved that by... More

I booked a tour with Peter as this looked like quite a different tour than the normal ones. Peter showed up in the green VW van, and in typical fashion for Slovakia the wipers on thing were playing up (it was raining all day unfortunately). Peter showed us around a range of interesting locations and provided an interesting background to... More

Authentic Slovakia was one of the most fun we’ve had with a tour. Never boring and always informative, Authentic Slovakia is not a typical tour with a scripted guide that have become a dime a dozen. Peter picked us up at the train station and dropped us off at our choice location after the tour was concluded. Peter our guide,... More

Really glad we took this alternative tour of Bratislava. We had already seen all the traditional parts of town that all tourists must see but wanted to see a bit of the gritty city too. Peter has a lot of local knowledge and insight and tells it with great humour. There were four of us in the green minivan and... More

If you want to understand some of the history of Bratislava and get a different angle on this beautiful town, you cannot do better than spend a few hours with Peter. He is a smart, sensitive and engaging guide and his Iron Curtain cycle tour is good exercise, great fun and very informative. It certainly takes you to places you... More

I did the Little Danube Canoe Tour with six friends while on a stag weekend and we had a fantastic time. Brano accompanied us on the tour and was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about all things Slovakian and fitted in perfectly with the rest of the gang. The day was not only good fun and chilled out,... More

Did the 2 hour 'post-socialist city tour' and loved it! Truly amazing how much information, insight and history they pack into two hours... And doing the tour in a Vintage 1970's Škoda car made it all the more fun!
