Owner description: Alternative tourist agency offering budget minivan and retro car trips in Bratislava and surroundings for unbeatable prices.Visiting Bratislava for only 1 day? Not enough time to explore authentic suburbs of Bratislava yourself? Then join our 2-hour or 4-hour Post socialist Bratislava city tour. Not enough time to get the taste of Slovakia? Then join our Slovak Village Pub Crawl. Tired of the city rush? Try Little Danube Canoe Trip. Need of the mountains? Go for our 1-day hiking trips. Longing for travelling back to the past? Visit spooky ruins during our 1-day castle tours. However, having stayed only in Bratislava, you can hardly say you have seen authentic Slovakia. Allow yourself 2 days or more to explore mountainous areas off-the-beaten-track. For real nature freaks we have prepared great hiking trips. If you are greedy for mysterious touch with medieval times, you will find it at gloomy castle ruins watching deep Slovak forests from above.

My wife and I spent a few days in Bratislava and the tour with Authentic Slovakia was easily one of the highlights of our time there. We did the 4-hour Post Socialist Tour and I would be hard pressed to think of a better way to spend part of a day (or more depending on the trip you select) than... More

A two hour tour with Peter was absoultely superb, this is not your average tourist trip with retro communist soft drinks and snacks as a gift from Peter and travelling some quiet and interesting streets in the city as well as Slavin and a quick trip to the border area it was superb. Peter was knowledgeable and his and his... More

Our host in Bratislava, Martin Horvath of the Bratislava Tourist Board, surprised us following lunch on arrival day by bungling us into a tiny, noisy 1970s Skoda and sending us off with company co-owner Peter on an urban safari through recent social history. It was an absorbing, enlightening experience that brought us up close and personal with the complexities and... More

We did the two hour car tour with Peter. It was fantastic from beginning to end. The car is amazing. Peter is a funny and friendly guy. He is extremely knowledgeable and it really allowed us to see a part of Bratislava we would have never discovered otherwise. The two hours flew by and we were sad at the end!... More

My fiancé and I did the two hour tour with Brano. We had great fun and learned a lot about Bratislava. This really was an authentic tour.Brano even included personal touches such as plum liquor that his Grandfather had made over twenty years ago, cola drinks that had been created in the 70s and some Slovakian treats in case we got peckish. As well... Just visited Bratislava and the tour with Brano really gave us a picture of the character of the region. He corrected a lot of mistaken assumptions I had about the history of the region and did an excellent job illustrating how the city has evolved/changed. We drove through the soviet blocs and headed out to the border with Austria to... More

Went for the two hour Post Socialist City Tour this morning and absolutely loved it! Peter was great - interesting, knowledgable and funny! Loved the old Skoda and the communist bag. Plenty of chances to ask questions and took in lots of sites and information that we just wouldn't have seen or found out about on our own. The two... More

A friend of mine and myself planned a trip covering both Vienna and Bratislava. We saw the sights of Vienna, went to the opera and attended a live classical music event, and hoped that Bratislava would be the perfect way to round off our trip. I have to say that in hindsight, the tour with Authentic Slovakia was the best... More

I do live in BA since almost 10 month and Peter did show us some places I have never heard about before. His way of explaining history is unique and so interesting. If you add the fact that you make the tour in an old Skoda, it is a real immersion in Bratislava during communism. Great job, great guy, I... More

I took a risk and went with my 70-year old English friends for a Authentic Ride with Peter. And they loved it :). The car, the route, the pub, the guide - everything. Even I (as Bratislava citizen) really enjoyed the trip - lots of new information about familiar places and plenty childhood memories came up. Bratislava is beautiful in many... More
