Not enough time to explore authentic suburbs of Bratislava yourself? Then join our 2-hour or 4-hour Post socialist Bratislava city tour. Not enough time to get the taste of Slovakia? Then join our Slovak Village Pub Crawl. Tired of the city rush? Try Little Danube Canoe Trip. Need of the mountains? Go for our 1-day hiking trips. Longing for travelling back to the past? Visit spooky ruins during our 1-day castle tours. However, having stayed only in Bratislava, you can hardly say you have seen authentic Slovakia. Allow yourself 2 days or more to explore mountainous areas off-the-beaten-track. For real nature freaks we have prepared great hiking trips. If you are greedy for mysterious touch with medieval times, you will find it at gloomy castle ruins watching deep Slovak forests from above. « less

Can't imagine any better way to see the city than the Post Socialist tour with Peter in the 40 year old white Skoda. He truly loves the city, and made us love it too - gave us some great suggestions on restaurants and other things to do in town as well. Can't miss!!!!

My boyfriend and I spent four hours with Peter, riding around Bratislava in his grandfather's Skoda. (The car turns 40 this year!). It was a fantastic experience! Peter was a great guide, giving us a wonderful blend of historic information, insightful personal stories and a bit of comedy along the way! The car itself is a hoot. After picking us... More

We organised our tour on short notice but there was never a problem and Peter always communicated with us promptly. We had a fantastic time with him seeing lots of different sights that a normal tourist would not see in Bratislava. He shared lots of personal stories from his family with us and it made the whole tour more genuine... More

I just finished my four hour tour of Bratislava and it was a GREAT experience. I have taken a lot of private tours in various countries/cities and this is one of the best I’ve done. The tour guide was a wealth of knowledge, not just of the facts you can get in all the tour books, but really the “behind... More

Really excellent tour! Got to see places where tourists will not go to and engaged in discussion about the situation in slovakia. An absolute must go!

The guide, Peter, took us to some marvellous places in and around the city. Really loved the amount of trivia he told. If you're somewhat into history and want to know the story behind the facades: an absolute must! Wim

It was raining ( again) in the region, and we signed up for this based on other reviews on Trip Advisor. It looked like something. Different than a walking tour or bus tour -- and it was. Peter picked us up and drove us around for more than two hours around the outskirts of the city, showing us things we... More

Our guide Andre (sorry I know I have spelt in wrong) was terrific, very friendly and happy to show us the Bratislava that is outside of the obvious tourist areas. The little car was a hoot, even the locals stop and stare. When we stopped off at a Market for some wines at 10am :) we met some wonderful locals... More

The tour guides were so down to earth and had great insight into the recent history of Bratislava. By the end our whole group felt as if they were our good buddies. We got to ride in the awesome old Slovakian van they have (an experience in itself) all around the surrounding areas inside and outside of Bratislava. They showed... More

If you're visiting Bratislava, I'd highly recommend taking Authentic Slovakia's Post-socialist city tour. It was interesting to see the real Bratislava outside of the tourist area. Our guide, Peter, knew of all sorts of interesting places around Bratislava.. There's some history, some interesting old buildings, great views of the city, and a variety of other things that you would never... More
