We needed to return to Bratislava from Vienna to get the plane home so we decided to take the boat along the Danube. It is quite a boring trip after a while, all there is are lots of little fishing huts all along the river on both banks, it's very flat and there are next to no views. Every now... More

We traveled by train from Budapest to Bratislava and had good views at times of the River Danube and the countryside. We had inquired about buses but apparently they are only for local places. When we got off the train we could not find any information office so we had to ask at a shop about what bus to catch... More

A fun break from Vienna, we took the only boat at 8:30 am. You would have to reserve ahead for the front 3 seats and it comes with a premium in price. I think it is not necessary in the summer as you can step outside. On cold weather, the front seats are advantageous. The trip takes 70 min long,... More

Disappointingly the. Oat was taken out if service last weekend for the winter season. Recommences in April . Hugely disappointed as went on this boat to Vienna last year and it was a real thrill! The Danube is, in parts, quote a narrow river and to jet up there at 70kmph feels it faster! Great experience. Do it!!

This mode of transportation is a little more expensive but takes you from center city to center city. The hydrofoil is quite and smooth with comfortable seats. We traveled on a cool day so stayed in the main cabin but deck seats were available. Look into reserved seating at the front of the boat - you get a great view... More

We booked a day trip to Bratislava from Vienna which meant an hour or so long coach trip there from Vienna and the return by boat on the Danube, which took about 1 and a half hours. The guide who showed us around was pretty hopeless, but did lead us around this pretty little town. You could see just about... More

We travelled in early October to Vienna. Turned up the day before to buy a ticket this was at the port and the office is to the left of the entrance past the shops (don't assume the company on the right is the only option) this was €20 each for one way and we also bought a bus ticket to... More

We were lucky to travel in September in cool days. So the complaints about the heat in the boat from previous travelers did not apply for us. I do not agree with many who says that the trip is dull. Plenty of interesting things to see and observe (probably my boat captain side talking!). I agree about the city tour.... More

We travelled to Vienna from Bratislava using this service. The journey took about 1 hour and 45 minutes (which included half an hour spent in a lock). We were told passengers were able to board 15 minutes prior to departure... but passengers were already on board before this, meaning we were not able to find seats next to each other,... More

We thought this would show us the city and surrounding areas from an interesting, intriguing new perspective. We tend to enjoy water activities (rafting, kayaking, motor boats) but this didn't have any of the thrill or adventure that we were hoping for. It was a somewhat claustrophobic journey given the cramped quarters and the heat we had to put up... More
