“A Huge Synagogue In A City With Very Few Jewish People”

This huge synagogue has wonderful exterior and interior architecture.Completed in 1903,it has an amalgam of architectural styles(Baroque,Moorish,Neoclassical).It has beautiful stained glass windows created by Miklos Roth. Prior to the Holocaust,Szeged had at least 6,000 Jews.according to my tour guide from Szeged Jewish Community Center.Now,the Jewish population is very small in szeged. more
