Yes a beach on a lake.

We liked this strand because it covers a long enough stretch of the coast of lake Balaton and has a lot of well manicured trees so it wasn't a problem getting places in the shade when the sun was getting to strong. The showers and toilets were in reasonable condition and they were regularly cleaned. The staff at the ticket... More

There is a small entry fee to use this beach on Lake Balaton. We visited here for 5 days in a very hot August both on weekdays and weekends. It is great with kids. There are two artificial sandy beaches leading into lovely warm water. The water is shallow for quite a distance out so there is plenty of space... More

Really fun and quiet quiet. We went on a Saturday and it was packed, but the Hungarian families are respectful and seem to be able to 'party' without making too much noise. A good place to sunbathe and chill out. A good place for families to enjoy with sand and a very shallow beach area.

VERY crowdy but clean place to visit. It has easy access to lake Balaton. The are waterboats for rent and there is a little swimming pool

For previous reviewers who complained about this place being crowded - come again in September when it, and most of Keszthely for that matter, are almost closed. As such, we didn't spend a day here but I wanted to give a review to reflect my impressions of the Keszthely lakeside area. There has clearly been a lot of money spent... More

I am sure I would have enjoyed it, as there is shade, there are clean toilets, the beach itself is celan and comfortable, there is a bar ad the water access is good. So I do not mind paying for the entrance, as everythign they provide was worth paying for. However, there were so many people we decided we'd rather... More

There are 3 places in Keszthely where you can bathe, but after seeing Városi Strand, we didn't bother finding the other two. The entrance fee is quite expensive if you plan on going every day (890 HUF this year) but good thing that after 7 pm they let you in for free. It's pretty cold to go in the water... More
