Hello! This place is a "must-see" location while visiting Budapest, to be more precise - while visiting Buda Castle and its surroundings. The guide told me that this fountain it is also called the ’Trevi Fountain of Budapest’. Indeed! It is very beautiful, especially by night, I agree. The architectural style is Neo-Baroque and, as I was also told, this... More

It's difficult to review all of the attractions in the Castle district because they come fast and furious - there's lots of them. This didn't particularly stand out from any of the other statues (the fountains had been turned off for the winter) but the entire area is well worth a visit.

You can not miss it, while visiting the Royal Palace. You will love it. The statues of the fountain are masterpieces.

Worth a visit as part of a walk around Castle Hill, this giant fountain is ornate and cleverly sculpted. Looks a little tired, but still worth a look.

This statue is in the forecourt of Buda castle and has, apparently, been called 'the Trevi Fountain of Budapest', although it is much smaller. It depicts a hunting party, at the centre of which is King Matthias with a dead stag at his feet. Impressive and I got some great photos!

This is a great fountain with so much detail to see. Sit opposite it and look at each little piece. Worth spending a bit of time just looking.

The fountain is located on the Castle Hill, within the Buda Castle. It is extremely detailed and, if you look at it closely, it tells a tail of its own. Simply wonderful.

The Matyas Fountain at Budapest Castle is absolutely stunning in its reality. It depicts Kind Matyas Corvinus at the hunt, complete with his hound dogs and the deer he is hunting. I grew up in the rural Southern US among deer hunters, and the hound dogs drew me particularly because they looked so real. I felt as if I was... More

The fountain is pretty but wasn't as big as I had expected. It's worth having a look when you're in the castle district. It's situated behind the national gallery.
