But the children liked it: they hid and scared each other.. it was cold, dark and humid... Some do like it, I did not so much. I guess I was expecting more than tunnels, caves and nothing else.. More

We decided to see a couple of the caves that Budapest is known for. Down the street from our hotel was the Labyrinth. Not easy to find, but once we got there and walked down it was very interesting and confusing. It's a good thing they have arrows directing or you would never find your way out. We enjoyed the... Expensive entrance fee - no information about history and purpose of the Labyrinth, no information about exits (one of them ends completely outside of Castle area), nothing interesting there. More

I was actually quite pleased to read the last few reviews as I genuinely thought we'd taken a wrong turn and missed all the exhibitions, but I'm now beginning to think we didn't miss them because they weren't there! We spent 5-10 minutes at most walking around the caves and ended up back where we started. Apart from seeing one... More

Its surprisingly warm in these caves. It doesn't take long to wander through the caves, but it is an experience. More

My up to date guide book recommended the Labyrinth of Buda Castle as having various displays, exhibitions, reproductions of cave paintings, springs etc. My daughter and I visited, we were the only people there, it was quite an unnerving but fairly amusing experience. We wandered around the dimly lit passageways following the sound of taped music of monks chanting, looking... More

I love labyrinths and secret passage ways and that was why the labyrinths of Buda castle were high on my list of must sees in Budapest, but unfortunately it did not live up to it's alluring describtion. It was the home of the Buda warrier, the secret service and has in general a great history -but none of this is... More

This was on our list of things to see whilst in Budapest but, sadly, it was an anti-climax. For what you get it is somewhat overpriced and comprises mainly featureless tunnels which just had the occasional small stone pedestal with a piece of stone carving perched on top and a token label which was poorly illuminated and difficult to read....
