One of the best public baths in Budapest, during the summer. In the middle of the Margit island, you cannaot whish more... Different pools, varied depthof water, two swimming pools, one of them olympic size, lot of wellness pools, with waves and massage rays. Lot of green space, good places to grab some food or icecream. Garderobes are newly renovated... More

Very easy to get to the strand on mass transit. Many different baths, pools, the wave pool and the water slides. Very good food stands, private changing rooms.

We spent an amazing day at Palatinus. We loved the wave pool (every hour at 45 minutes past the hour). We also enjoyed the wide variety of food. We also enjoyed riding in the little cart to get Palatinus from the bridge. It was so hot the day we visited and our daughter would have been worn out if we... More

We visited a few times during august, with its thermal pool, slides, wave pool, and children's pool, it's got quite a bit to offer. The kids loved the slides, you need to sign off children who are just under 120cm, they get a wristband, and can go on as the taller children do. You can get a cabin, or just... More

Well, for foreigners, this place is cheap - like 10 euro - nice, modern, has a thermal bath, and all kind of facilities, you need to relax. Good for kids and adults as well!

Pretty good selection of pools but only a few slides. Good effort had been put on safety because there were poolguards everywhere. Children might really enjoy the adventure pool. The wave pool might have been the highlight of our visit put besides that this water park missed the wow factor.

Palatinus is very good for the right type of travelers. Although I would have prefered more of a "spa" enviroment, we chose Palatinus because it has features our 10 year old would enjoy. There were four different water slides and a wave pool that went off every hour. The medicinal baths were nice and large. Two of the pools seem... More

St Margaret's Island is worth a visit in itself to walk through the gardens and see the huge fountain, but the highlight is the spa. It's about £6 to enter and you can stay all day, unlike some spas this includes changing rooms and lockers. Changing area with numerous showers and toilets was spotless, I visited on a Friday in... It was very hot on our visit to Budapest at the end of July and I had my heart set on a spa visit, but when I spotted Palatinus Strand with its many pools and the added bonus of flumes, on an island in the middle of the Danube - we had to go here! It seemed to say on... More

I lived in budapest with my family from 2007 until 2010 and we visited Palatinus strand many times. Returning this year for a holiday we have visited the Strand twice and have been impressed to see the improvements . The family ticket costs an affordable 7100 forints and inside the food and drink is moderately priced. The water slides have... More
