Took the Segway city tour yesterday and had a very pleasant experience even though it started to pour half way. Our guide, Andros, was most accommodating. We were a little late due to traffic but he came back to look for us and showed us the different monuments and building with detailed explanation of the history. Highly recommended.

This was a great introduction to the city of Budapest! Our young tour guide gave a great tour with many personal insights. I highly recommend this tour.

Good way to see a lot of the city in a short period of time. If you want to have fun riding a Segway through this beautiful city, navigating busy and sometimes steep paths then this trip is probably for you. There was not as much historical information or context given to what we were looking at in comparison with... More

I am a frequent traveller who happens to stop by a different european city after each business trip. I learned, by experience, that a segway tour is the best way to see any city when you don't have more than a couple of days to stay. I booked the 3-hour downtown and Buda castle tour since I wanted to see... More

Our tour guide Balazs was fantastic -- knew the city and its history. He gave us a wonderful overview of the major sites -- we did the downtown tour for 2 hours (which actually lasted 2.5 hours!). My 15 year old son and I both learned a lot and had a great time doing it. Highly recommended for families with... More

Our guide Balazs conducted a useful introductory practice followed by a well chosen tour to the top end of Margaret Island and back into the center of the city taking an alternate route. Well recommended for anyone with good natural balance.

This is such an awesome way to see the city. We got to see Pest (where we were staying) and Buda in less than 2.5 hours. Our tour guide stayed out and extra 30 minutes with us, and he let us go what interested us most. They are really laid back, letting you decide if you want a helmet. I... More

It was a great tour, very handy, Budapest is rather bike friendly, so we were taking over the bike lanes. Not sure if the price covered itself, because Budapest is small, and you can also walk around everything in a couple of days without a bike or segway.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
