This is a great statue and all but it is just a single statue. Its worth a look while at the Church or Fisherman's bastion but not so amazing that you need to devote significant time or energy to it.

Tripadvisor's gps is completely off! This monument is near Mathias Church, not House of Terror. Tripadvisor when reading and checking this review please adjust this monument on the map.

Eastern side of Castle Hill, a mixture of Neo- Gothic and Neo- Romanesque styles. Enjoy the place , it's flights of stairs, projections, turrets and its ambulatory - like galleries.

The statue is nice. But the thing that it really makes it better is the fact that you have the Fisherman's Bastion just behind it. And in the summer can be very packed!! But you have to see it since you are already there to see all the other things.

The statue of St. Stephen is a nice statue but it stands out because of the buildings sorrounding it (the Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion) .

Statue of St. Stephen is by Fisherman's Bastion. Certainly not worth a separate trip but part of the Fisherman's Bastion.

Ok, the statue is not anything out of the ordinary when it comes to European statues, but it is situated right near the fisherman's bastion, which is the prime place to look at the Danube and to the Pest side of Budapest. Do take more than a glance at the statue when at the bastion though.

It's solid. It is Fisherman's Bastion-adjacent, and as another contributor stated, it would make a good place to meet. It's a two minutes and leave sort of place.

I could lose myself in a thousand words to comment on this magnificent place. I can only urge everyone to go here and not only to admire this beautiful statue but most of the unforgettable panoramic view from here. The statue itself is pretty simple but it is a monument located in one of the most enchanting parts of the... More
