i've been to Budapest twice and i'm going back. One of the reasons is to play Roulette at the Las Vegas Casino. the girls who work there are absolutely beautiful, and since the forint is so much less value than a dollar, it's easier to spend money or tip. it's also nice to be in a casino where there is... It's odd that this city only has two casinos this one, and the Tropicana, which I heard was recently acquired by the same person. In any event, this casino is everything you'd expect from an Eastern European casino except they charge you to go inside. What?!?!?! You want to take my money, and charge me for entrance? This would be... More

Decent casino with a sufficient amount of game tables. Cheap drinks and good vibes. Staff was polite and efficient although most dealers where not the best with counting and handling the chips. Biggest negative: Full of dirty gipsies outside the place that offer drugs and sex. Be assured to find mother gipsy leader trying to pimp out his girls. Prostitution... More

The casino is half a block from the Four Seasons. It is clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly. They do not have craps. And they wouldn't change Forints into Euros. No idea why....

I was cry disappointed to find this attached to our Sofitel hotel when we pulled up. The clientele were not upscale and we had smokers hanging around outside.

Of course that if you lose you might put a bad review, but really we felt scammed, at the entrance they charge fee and say you get it with chips but then you find out you must put it all in one bet. generally its small. we liked the Tropicana better and we lost there too :)

Located in the Szechenyi Istvan ter attached to the Sofitel Hotel, a slice of Vegas. It is relatively small although it does have the regular table games as well as an assortment of slots. There is an entry fee of 3,000 Huf which is approx. $15 Cnd. which you can exchange for slot play. Gambling is in Euros or Hufs,... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
