We had a wonderful time at this truly beautiful spa. We enjoyed 7 of the 8 spas and pools (the third, the big outdoor wave pool, being under construction at the time). Our skin was beautifully soft afterwards!! The tiling inside is absolutely beautiful and you'll come out feeling wonderfully rejuvenated. REALLY good hang-over cure. However - there are no... More

Gellert Spa is one of the oldest in Budapest and you can feel the history around you. the water is VERY warm in some pools, alsmost too hot to stray for a longer period. Great experience.

A trip to these baths can be quite confusing - and I'd love the opportunity to give this place some signage consultancy! Here are a couple of tips to help you navigate. First of all, take your own towels and shower cap if you can - that will save you money. Also, take flip-flops. For two of us it cost... More

We went to this spa as part of our 4 day stay in Budapest. I had read a lot about it so we walked for miles to find it...what a disappointment. The whole entry procedure was really confusing and whilst everyone was friendly, the process was ridiculous! The thermal baths themselves were extremely dirty, and the main thermal pool was... More

This is a wonderful place to visit. The baths are very grand, water is warm and security is very good. Three of us visited and chilled out for nearly four hours it was well worth it.

Went to the Gellert Baths on 7th April, found the staff to be extremely rude and unhelpful. My boyfriends shoes were stolen from his locker and staff did not attempt to help us at all. Hugely disappointing after paying so much money to get in. Would not recommend this to anyone

WE went for my birthday today (April 9) and found only one outside thermal pool open. Pricy for that. Caps are now only required in the big indoor pool if you are swimming laps. The historical building is worth a visit. As many in TA have said, it is VERY difficult to navigate. I could not begin to offer help... More

I booked a spa day here as part of a citybreak for my friend's birthday. We were impressed with all the different pools and as the weather was warm and sunny even managed to soak up the rays in the outside pool. I'd booked a massage for us both and when it was time for our massage was informed by... More

Like a 100 year old council swimming pool. Dingy and tired. Felt a bit grubby after! Only redeeming point is that the building is beautiful.

Visited there with my wife and became separated. The staff was of no help because they all said they only spoke Hungarian. I cannot believe that a major attraction does not have anyone who does not speak English to assist paying customers. I finally went back to my hotel and got the hotel staff to call Gellerts for help in... More
