liked that it was a genuine experience-no English anywhere, like the baths and the relaxing environment disliked that they were under construction and they were not very aesthetically appealing More

Probably, this bath can disappoint someone after Szechenyi or others, but this place serves for treatments instead of entertainment. Entertaining pools are not present there but medicinal water is very sated. And visitors come to be treated there. We were witnesses when the group of noisyteenagers from Sziget-fest has appeared inappropriate among grandmothers :) But if your feet were tired... More

Although this baths was renovated during our visit, one could still enjoy authentic atmosphere of this place. Lukacs Baths is not so big as Szechenyi Baths or Gellert Baths but it is definitely worth to visit this place. There are three outdoor pools in two courtyards of beautiful old building situated in Buda part of Budapest. Because mostly adults come... More

I don't think we found all the pools in there as there's no maps and all the signage is in Hungarian, however, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Whilst the staff didn't speak any English, they were incredibly helpful to us. You only need 1 cabin between 2 of you, so don't buy 2. This isn't a particularly grand thermal spa, so... More

Nice thermal baths with an outside pool with a whirl and bubbling water and some smaller inside pools. There is also a small dry sauna and a small steam sauna. If you're tired of the other baths in Budapest you may consider visiting these ones. More

Disappointing after Szechenyi (a hard act to follow, true). A lot of renovation work going on outside and inside - one of the main swimming pools was drained. The outdoor "relaxing" pool is small but agreeable, although the courtyard is very small and cuts out much of the light. Considering you pay the same entrance price as for Szechenyi, no... More

If you have some time and energy left for visiting yet another bath, and the weather is good, visit this one. After a rather complicated system of localizing lockers and changing rooms, you will enjoy the atmosphere of a large hot spring pool, placed in a small yard between buildings. More

Typical Hungarian bath! Recommended. Early hours (5-6am) is the best timing for understanding the feeling of this habit of Buda citizens. More

Lukacs Baths gave me a rather local bathing experience when compared to Szechenyi and Gellert Baths. During my visit, there weren't many tourists and most people were spending wonderful time with their friends and families. Staff there were also quite nice. Though I couldn't find much signage in English, it's not a problem to know where to take a shower,... More

We went to the Lukacs Baths as it was suggested by a colleague who is from Budapest and we certainly weren't disappointed! Trying to communicate with the ladies at the front desk was interesting, but not impossible (we all got a day pass and a 45min massage). It's not set up for tourists - so don't expect everything to be... More
