My husband had seen this and thought it should be on our list to visit. You go on the cog railway first and then walk to the Children's railway. It is interesting to see all the children saluting and working on the railway at the terminus there is a fantastic café bar serving the best pitzas

With a small child, we find ourselves on this train frequently. Running on the top of District XII's Normafa neighborhood, this train winds through the Buda hills offering some pretty views in between long stretches of woods. I was ther with relatives in the summer. It is funny. The best thing is the nature, where this children's railway is running between the "cog-wheel" and the "chair lift" in Buda hills.

Just wonderful. A magical experience :D It is a railway run by children and takes you through the Buda Hill forests - a must if you'd like to escape the heaving tourist hordes in the city on a scorching hot summer's day!
