We found the zoo a great place to visit - in fact we went twice! Well worth the entrance fee. Quite easy to get to on the undergroung (line M1) and one could easily spend the best part of a day there. Lots of animals to see and captivate the kids. Some of the indoor enclosures appeared to be empty,... More

The zoo is lovely, it has a good range of exhibits and we spent a lovely day wondering around. The only thing I would say is that it could do with better sign posting in English, especially regarding which exhibits are closed for renovation etc as this was a little confusing. We ate lunch at the Lagos place by the... More

Never been where even storage and behind scenes buildings are decorated and visually pleasing and in character with cultural heritage sites ....in large park with other interesting attractions and museums so a fullish day adventure possible if you have the time.

We were in this ZOO in July so it was very hot. But you can find lot of places where to hide :) The entrance fee was average. This year i have seen Zoo´s in Prague, Zlin and Budapest and this one (in mine opionion) was the 2nd after Prague. It is very small but you can see lot of... More

A wonderful little zoo in a beautiful park. Spacious enclosures and seemingly happy animals. Make sure to check out the siberian tigers' habitats. The lot that was born there short while ago have grown into very playful but already huge animals. Love seeing a zoo that really puts the well-being of the animals ahead of the visitors.

The zoo was great! Entrance fee wasn't expensive and there were much more animals than I expected. There was actually so much animals that you should be prepared to spend quite a few hours here to see everything properly. Nice themehouses too. All the animals seemed happy. Lots of nice cafées. Best zoo I have visited.

Zoo is at the end od Andrass ut. Easy to find but if you are coming with car parking might be a problem. Lot of animals and theme houses. Only bad thing is that everything is only on Hungarian.

My teenage daughter and I visited in June 2012 for a few hours. The main reason we stopped in was the architecture of the elephant house; which is really cool. Actually all of the buildings / animal shelters are cool to look at. Thought the zoo might be a bit old fashioned; but was pleasantly surprised. Lots of animals to... More
