It's a great place, good for families, plenty of animals, but the Polar Bear isn't comfortable, I don't think the Hippos are either, that's pretty obvious in my opinion. Otherwise, I can't be too morally uncomfortable, as we have been as a family 4 times over the past few years, the kids love it, it's educational, and there are places... More

I love this place! I have been 3 times. What I like best is the proximity to the animals, you really feel close to them. Sloths that you can really see. I petted one this year! Lots of places to sit and rest. Play areas and a petting zoo for the kids. A wonderful green sea serpent that the kids... More

Lots of nice and entertaining animals! At the moment they have a baby elephant and baby giraffe that are soo cute! They also had a sea lion show that was a lot of fun! The majority of the information signs were in Hungarian, but I didn't really feel it was necessary to read them. Definitely doesn't take anything away from... More

The zoo is not as big as you would expect in a city as Budapest, but the experience was excellent! Entry fee is a bargain eventhough the ticketlines were long and slow. Perhaps I shouldn't go on a saturday next time. Just too bad the lions and tigers were hiding today, but got to see a baby elephant, so it's... More

There is so much to do here it's amazing! A very big zoo and such good value for money. There are many buildings you can go into and be face to face with an animal. we went in one where there are flying foxes on the ceiling and flying near us and possums running about another one with birds and... There are a lot of different animals and it's not so expensive to get in! There is also real interaction between the public and the animals for example with the ring-tailed lemurs and the giraffes. There is also a lot of beautiful architecture like the art nouveau elephant house. I really recommend it!

A big zoo with lots of animals. The best show was of the butterflies! You enter a room where the butterflies fly freely around, for me, it was an amazing experience which I have not seen in other zoos

We went on a day that was full of kids must of been about 30 different school events. So this made everything hard to view but if you went on a quiet day it would be great. Beautiful gardens not bad priced. Also had a great baby boom so lots of baby animals.

The zoo is small but very cozy! You can fine some amazing architecture in it, for example, the art nouveau elephant house. They had an impressive lion family with several adorable cubs. I really enjoyed the petting zoo too! Pack some food and have a picnic there on a sunny afternoon!

The Zoo has many animals, including an elephant baby and lion baby but..what I did not like is that it is cramped and being near the public transport and close to the road, you hear a lot of cars, trams and noise which might not bother me that much but I think about the poor animals. Some of them seemed..sad.... More
