The tour here was well organized, available in a variety of languages, and well worth the visit. The guides were knowledgeable and the architectural features were wonderful.

We enjoyed the tour, our guide made it interesting, if a little bit rushed, he constantly checked his watch. The opera house was delightful and we are glad we took the tour

Once visiting a foreign country it is a good idea to see an opera / musical. Like any opera house in Europa it has its own character. Ornate, glamorous interior, chic people... A tip: If you did not pre-plan and purchased your ticket, it can be booked by your hotel at the last minute too. So we paid more but... More

Multiple tours in various languages are given at the same time so tour leaders are all talking at once and the tours are mobbed. The mini concert is not given in the concert hall as one would expect but rather in a small area where ticket holders are jammed together; only those standing in the very front get to see... More

Well worth doing- so enjoyed this. Worth booking in advance to get good tickets - which are much cheaper here than in most cities. We got the last few seats a couple of nights before the show. All that were left were 3 v cheap seats (well worth getting anyway) which we took thought we needed 4. Unlike other places,... More

We were very fortune whilst in Budapest to attend the celebratory event at the Opera. It was a slight shame that none of the talking parts were translated. But the opera itself was superb, and we also saw some ballet (which was certainly a new experience) The building is ornate and wonderfully kept. Tickets are extremely cheap to see shows,... More

Extremely good value. Opera house is brautiful inside. Guides give you the full history in your selected language and only takes an hour. At the end you can see a mini opera performance

The theatre is beautiful. A stunning work of art with 2.7kg of gold used for the gold plating inside! The guide was very knowledgable and comfortable answering questions and giving us facts (the gold info was from him). But, we were on an English speaking tour and there were too many of us....at least 50. Perhaps we were unlucky, as... More
