This is a lovely place for a walk along the Danube. Several statues, and also a number of cafes. Great views of the Buda castle and Matthias Church across the river.

with a wonderful landscape in the background, it is an icon of the Danube. fresh, pleasant place in the center of Pest, leaning on the riverbank. Without the kaos of photographers tourists you can always get the best shot.

Most modern urban planners lucky enough to have rivers and shorelines available have worked to incorporate embankments and river walks into their city-scapes. It is appropriate that this is called the "Embankment" because it calls to mind London's Thames Embankment. Wonderful vistas, public art installations and cafes, this is a great way to spend a few minutes or hours.

Was a bit cold during my stay there - but the embankment that ran alongside the Danube was a great place to walk. Walked all the way until we reached the Parliament - quite a distance! Very open spacious pavement; would have enjoyed it even further if not for the cold weather!

This is a must-do for every local and tourist every once in a while. This stretch of the Danube bank offers a wonderful panorama over Buda, including Gellért Hill, the Chain Bridge, the Buda Castle, Matthias Church with the marvelous Danube inbetween. For visually impaired, there is a 2 meter long brass 3D replica of the panorama with explanation in... More

Duna-Korzo is a nice street on the Danube's banks good for relaxing walks on sunny days. Great photo opportunities, beautiful views with the river and Buda Castle, nice statues, fountains and some elegant buildings. A lot of terraces and restaurants to stop and have a meal or a drink.

We were about to take the tram n.2 and we accidentally saw this. Obviously it's worth to take more pics with the statue and others statues nearby!

Currently here in Budapest and it hasn't stopped raining!. However with pleanty of waterproofs we braved the rain and walked along this scenic route. Ok so it was slightly grey and not as picturesque as the photos in the tour books but the statue of Korzo was something we passed on our travels, just beautiful.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
