The architecture is great and there are some beautiful statues and some typical hungarian craftwork nearby. More

Excellent views over the Danube and city make the visit worthwhile alone. Hungarian National Art Gallery definitely worth seeing. Make sure you walk along to explore the Old Town as well, have an expensive cup of coffee at the Fisherman’s Bastion for a unique perspective across the river! More

Loved walking around the castle, amazing views from the ramparts. A little touristy in places but easy to find quiet spaces to enjoy the surroundings and views, More

The tramlift up is not covered by transport card and it's largely feasible by foot to avoid cost and queuing. No access into the Palace unless you go into the museum which is inside. More

Hopefully all the construction works have ended. The streets and surrounding buildings, not just the castle, are all worth exploring as it retains a medieval presence about it. More

I did not know much about Hungarian art before visiting Budapest, and this building houses what is essentially the national museum of Hungary. The galleries are well-lit, the art is nicely spaced, and the collection is impressive. More
