SPECTACULAR VIEW

The view overlooking the Danube, Parliament building, and the Pest side of the city from the Buda side is spectacular, especially at night.

I would leave plenty of time to explore this characterful area. So many little alleyways, bistros, and sights in this great part of Buda. A real gem and enhances your visit to this beautiful city.

we went by cable car to the palace and as on the other areas you had a wonderful view of the Danube as well as the city. The only problem: the stones in the road/foot path we very difficult to walk on but it fits in the structures. The trip with the cable car is unfortunately short.

Great views over Pest and Buda, must see museums, fantastic medieval buildings, cool labirynth. Good restaurants (my personal favorite is Baltazar and Csalogány 26 nearby). An almost real time travel.

Great views fro the Buda side looking across the Danube to the Pest side. Worth a walk up herr and although high up was a nice gradual walk up the hill.

We took the funicular railway to the castle and had a tour of the of the grounds and buildings . Before we left we visited the Budapest Terrace for drinks ... lovely venue but dreadful service and expensive !!! Lots of work going on to repair and renovate a treasure .

Enjoyed castle hill, the walk and the views. GREAT sights, but the best in Budapest is beyond the main attraction. Enjoy the view, but save time for many other sites.

A must driving up the hill for a good view over the town and the Danube. Not really much to see inside.
