While the Castle itself, dominating over the Danube, is a little disappointing (I expected something mor ancient), the Castle Hill area is gorgeous with its winding streets, historic townhouses and stunning views over Buda and Pest. It is here that you feel history. more

The streets are really pretty and its a nice place to wander around and take pictures. There was some sort of ceremony with horses & traditional costumes in the main square when we were there. It was quite windy when we were up there & I think it is more open to the elements so be careful what the weather... more

We went up the left side of Castle Hill, it kinda felt like a really long windy driveway. It was a great walk and there were some neat stone areas along the way (be careful not to fall, there are no guardrails there!).
