Went here on a day it was raining and it didn't ruin the visit all. You can walk the whole island in 2 to 3 hours or you can rent either pedal or electric cars. So whatever your ability is you can see this lovely place. Nice and quiet with gardens, ruins and huge trees. There are also sports fields,... More

Spending a day meandering over Margaret Island was a perfect way to relax after a hectic week! Laid out with exquisite flower beds located between shady walkways, with comfortable benches situated all over, there isn't a moment when you feel out of place, stressed or hurried. Affordable food is available across the island, leaving you no opportunity to go without.... More

We didn't get to see all of the island as it was 36 degrees and too hot to walk very far. What we saw was just beautiful, peaceful and serene from the musical fountains to the wonderful ice cream .make time for this one as it will be well worth it.

It's a fair way out if you're located in the centre and so be aware that it's not an insignificant walk and travel accordingly, but it's very pleasant. I'm not saying that Budapest is frantic but Margaret Island is nonetheless an oasis of calm and a great place to relax. All the locals came there of an evening, which we... More

A nice remote area in the middle of the city, an island on river Danube. I love it because it is a small haven from the busy centre and there is always something new to discover. Very well developed, newly renovated area with beautiful parks.

The island is like a recreational big park. There is nothing too special but it is worth going for a walk or maybe rent a bike. good for jogging too or maybe pay a visit to the aqua park!

The best way to there by foot, bicycle or public transportation, Traim number 4 and 6 stops at the island. or there is bus... More

We walked around this island in one afternoon for about three hours, and it was a great relief to beat the heat and escape the bustle of the city. There are whimsical fountains here and the kids will be entertained by them for quite some time! rent Bikes? You bet...knock yourself out. Want to just laze by the river...no problem... More
