The place is very beautiful - love the structure of the room and the beautiful fresco's on the wall. But the main stream pop music they play is a real turn off. This place deserves some nice and calm music. The music didn't suit the architecture from the building. The coffee wasn't special (we ordered a hazelnut frappe and a... More

If you take the escalator upstairs you will find a café with delicious pastrys for almost no money. There is now and then a grand piano entertainment. Look up! The ceiling is also something special. More

Very nice atmosphere, a definitely "have to" spot, hidden in the centre. I also enjoyed the piano play while sipping our coffee latte. Recommended for everyone prefers high-quaility serice for a reasonable price! More

Take the time and have a coffee here. It's absolutely fabulous to sit in this impressive hall and sip your Espresso. Though we really liked the New York Cafe as well, this one seems to have better prices. Don't miss it! More

Our son, who studies in Budapest now took us to this Cafe in March. The bookstore is great as well, great selections of books even in foreign languages. We went up to the Cafe and we were really amazed. Beautiful interior ! The service was fast , the coffee was great and the pastries were fresh and tasty. We were... More

We stopped off here for a coffee and a cake. The cake selection is amazing and the coffee was lovely. The setting, however, is amazing. This is somewhere you must see whilst in Budapest. More

This place is definitely worth a visit just to gaze at the amazing ceiling of the coffee shop on the 1st floor. The wine was ok, the coffee was good and the food was great. Cheap too! The service was a bit ropey when it got busy but we were just happy to kick back on the comfy leather seats... More

Go to have a look, this is one of the most beautiful typical old roof of golden age pf Budapest. You go through the book shop from Andrassy avenue and go up the stairs, the eye will catch a nice view. Then if you are visiting week-end, count on a good 15 to 20 lintues waiting queue. Serive is slow... More

Although Alexandra's is a bookstore, the coffee lounge upstairs is a good place to chill out. They often have a pianist playing live and the decoration is really spectacular. Comfortable leather armchairs or normal tables and chairs. Prices are a bit higher than on the street but not excessive. More
