If you enjoy food and cooking this is an absolute must. It was the best day I had in Budapest. My friends and I met our guide/chef Andrew at the grand market to sample various Hungarian cuisine and to buy our groceries for our meal. We then took a cab to an apartment to begin cooking our meal. Andrew taught... More

What a great day! We decided to take a cooking class in Budapest since both of us have Hungarian roots and grew up eating the cuisine. We met Andrew at the market at 9am and had a full meal before we left while browsing the stalls and craft vendors and learning about Hungarian culture, history, and food. He is so... More

My friend and I had the great pleasure of learning to cook some Hungarian dishes with Agnes during our stay in Budapest. Agnes was warm and accommodating and taught us a lot about Hungarian food and culture. My favorite part of traveling is getting to know locals and what daily life is like. While cooking (which Agnes had perfectly planned... More

This was a great experience. My mom and I met Andrew at the Market. As others have said - skip breakfast. We had lots of samples of food in the market. We also bought our groceries for our cooking class. The coooking lesson was great fun. We made the fruit soup - which was very refershing on a hot day.... More

Whether you want to learn how to make local cuisine, meet local people or just get away from looking at monuments and museums, this is a wonderful way to spend a day. Andrew was a great host and cook, and we had a lot of fun. But don’t skip the market trip because it might be the best part of... More

Agnes was not there for our cooking class, but her colleague Andrew was fantastic. The entire afternoon was relaxed and friendly. My boyfriend and I are not skilled cooks but were taught how to prepare the dishes step by step. I felt completely at home in Agnes' humble apartment. Also, Agnes has been great to communicate with - very helpful... More

My friend and I booked ourselves onto this class on the first day of our Budapest trip. Unfortunately, we were not able to do the market tour as it was a bank holiday, but it didn't make the experience any less enjoyable. We were greeted by the very knowledgable and friendly chef, Andrew, who welcomed us with some background chat... More

A trip to Budapest would not be complete without a true local experience. Learning how to cook traditional Hungarian food with Andrew was truly a delight. We made the Jokai Bean Soup, Stuffed Cabbage and Pancakes. Of course we had to make the very same meal for our family when we arrived back in the States while telling them about... More

My husband and I spent a very enjoyable day with Andrew preparing our lunch (and drinking wine of course). The dishes turned out great, and it was the best meal we had in Budapest. Just shows you don't need fancy equipment and fixtures to prepare a wonderful meal. Andrew is very nice and outgoing, and had everything set up before... More

Very nice experience. This was a good basic cooking class that gives you the real feel for traditional home cooking in Hungary. Agnes and Andrew were very flexible with scheduling, had great communication, overall it was a great experience. Andrew lead me through a private cooking class, with insight to local culture, foods and great conversation. I recommend this for... More
