We had a short time in Budapest, but read so many wonderful things about the cooking class wee decided it was a "must do." We were not disappointed. Agi and Andrew took us on a wonderful tour of the market and introduced us to many of the items we would be using in the dishes. We noshed on items from... More

The welcome from Agi and Andrew was amazing. They opened their home and instructions were superb. I was born in Budapest but never learned the fine art of cooking Hungarian foods. It was the best morning I have spent, I was instructed with clarity and much humour. English was spoken if required. I learned a lot and enjoyed the fruits... More

I have just returned from an amazing European trip with my hubby and our best friends and during our time in beautiful Budapest we booked a cooking class with Agi, as I have a small home-based food business in Australia (Canefields Kitchen) and wanted to learn how to cook some Hungarian food from the experts. Agi was on holiday so... More

My sister and I took this cooking class last month and we were really pleased! Agnes wasn't available so Andrew hosted our class in Agnes' flat and he did a great job of teaching/engaging us and is quite the conversationalist on many topics and he is also well travelled. All this really contributed to a great cultural immersion! Highly recommended.

I grew up eating Hungarian, but never did learn how to really make it taste like home. Books help, but nothing beats hands on learning from people who know and enjoy what they are doing. This was our third cooking class with Agnes and Andrew. And, it won't be the last. The best thing about our experience is that it... More

Now we're talking!! Tired of the excessively "touristic" spots? Take the class! I've been travelling around and was a little bit tired of castles, monuments, walls, churches, etc. and decided to take a break from all that and do something really "local". It was quite a surprise to get inside someone else's home, take a chair, chat and cook! It... More

My boyfriend and I were traveling to Budapest and were looking for some unique things to do that would give us a little more insight into the culture. the BF is more of a cook than I am and he found this cooking class/tour here on trip advisor. I must admit, I was not thrilled at the prospect since I... More

My fourteen year old son and I took a class with Agi and Andrew in June. Emails were answered quickly and thoroughly. Arranging the class was painless and Agi was always happy to answer any questions. The directions to the class location were accurate and easy to follow. Agi and Andrew were great teachers and had us happily cooking and... More

After reading about Culinary Hungary on Trip Advisor, I emailed an inquiry. I heard back quickly from Agi and began to make arrangements for our group of six. (I had also sent an inquiry for several tours and another cooking class, but didn't hear back from them for 4-6 days.) From the market tour to cooking with Agi and Andrew... More

Our cooking class with Agi was a totally enjoyable experience. We met her at her flat and we then walked to the local market to buy what we needed to cook. For additional cost she will take you on a tour of the Central Market, but we felt this local market was actually more realistic since it's where she shops... More
