I took the Culinary Walk on 3 June 2014. There were four of us in the group, a woman from London and a couple from London area. Unfortunately I can’t remember the tour guide’s name, but she was extremely nice and knowledgeable and spoke perfect English, as she had lived some time in the USA. We started the tour from... More

Awesome experience. From the time I booked the cruise to the time we actually did the cruise - smooth and professional procedure. Everything was done via email from across continents. Gabor was super helpful. The boat was great. The food exceptional. We chose the buffet meal and had a variety of food including a menu for vegetarians, wheat intollerant and... More

My friend and I signed up for a Hungarian Food and Wine tour that started off at the Central Market. Indi was our tour guide and she was incredibly knowledgable, not only on food and drink but when we asked other questions about Budapest/Hungry she was able to answer our questions. She's very personable and sweet making the tour extra... More

I had a great afternoon strolling around the Jewish quarter. Our guide, Dora, was interesting and had a lot to tell us about the area. We made stops at a coffee shop (not really connected to Jewish cuisine, but a good place to stop and talk about food), a place for matze ball soup, a bistro for lunch, and then... More

We took this tour last week and Judith was our guide. Fabulous! We had a total of 5 people in our group and we met at the closed in market where we had several stops before going out into the neighborhood for a full meal with lots of other fun stops. It was excellent and we highly recommend! It highly... More

This is the perfect way to spend half a day in Budapest. You start off in the food market with breakfast, walk along the market and try langos, salami, pickles, cheese, yoghurt and the then its time for lunch. Traditional hungarian lunch followed by great cakes and end the tour with winetasting. Make sure not to have breakfast before you... More

We did a Eger wine tour last year so this year we chose the two day tour of Tokaj. Our guide was Virag, a very knowledgable young lady studying Viniculture in Budapest. We toured several wineries, from small to large, and a cooper. We actually participated in making a small wine barrel. Our overnight accommodations were outstanding and peaceful. I... More

Great guide who was as excited about the food as we were. Enjoyed it so much the time whizzed by. Culinary walk tour focused on traditional foods mostly- not gourmet but authentic. Would recommend for foodies or anyone who likes to eat good food.

I had a great time on my Taste Hungary Culinary Tour. Garbor was an excellent host and always made sure we had everything we needed. We started at the central market and then had the largest of the tastings at a butcher shop. From there we went to a pastry shop and finally a wine tasting back near the central... More

I've already been with Taste Hungary on 4 different tours. The level of service is excellent, the guides are very knowledgeable and the food/wines on offer are great. The tours are worth every penny since you get to try a lot off different things and the guides are always happy to accommodate your tastes. A bit of history and trivia... More
