I highly recommend the Taste of Hungary food tour. Barbara was our guide; she was great company and gave us context and history about what we were eating and drinking. We probably would not have tried some of the places she took us, as the non-English menus and crowds may have put us off. Thanks to Barbara, we had super... More

Joined this food tour with Barbara as our guide. She led us to different food places in Budapest. this is a must try activity for foodies. I love food and seeing a variety of those makes my mouth water. This is a fun-filled tour I will never forget.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! We had an amazing time trying all different foods and new experiences. We even returned to a couple of places from the tour because the food was so fantastic! It's the perfect way to get your bearings around the city and try things you might not come across otherwise! Best part... More

Our guide Barbara was knowledgeable, engaging and fun. The size of the group (no more than 6; we had 5) gets everyone involved in the tour. And the variety of food and experiences was terrific.

We had an excellent tour of the Central Market, taking in the local tipple, breads, meats and cheese. A short walk away we were treated to lunch at a butcher's who's food is so well loved the butcher business is a side interest. We were presented with a variety of locally produced sausage meets, stews and pastas which were all... More

My friend and I took the gastro tour and spent four wonderful hours in the expert company of Barbara, who took us to try one culinary marvel after another: langos, porkolt, nakedly, cured meats, locally made cheeses, chocolate, beautiful wines. She gave us the history and origin of all the foods and added history of the city and Hungary. She... More

We spent a great afternoon with our host Barbara. We visited a number of pastry shops and sampled a range of Hungarian sweet treats--all great. However, the food was secondary to the outstanding company of Barbara--friendly, warm and informative--not only about food, but also Budapest. Don't miss this tour.

My friends and I took the Market/culinary tour this week with Judit and it was wonderful. We started off with brief introduction and then moved right in with the shots of liquor. We then moved to breakfast, sausages, cheese, candy type bar made from cheese and then took off out the door to explore the city. The chocolate shop was... More

We had a wonderful experience with this tour. It started in the Central Market where we tasted samples of various Hungarian cheeses, meats, pickles, food, and Unicum. Then we went out to the Etyek wine region for lunch and a winery tour. The lunch was an excellent selection of Hungarian foods and the view from their terrace was beautiful. At... More
