Type: Amusement/ Theme Parks, Water Parks, Amusement Parks
Owner description: The Aquaworld is one of the biggest indoor water theme parks in Europe offers unforgettable entertainment to visitors of every age throughout the year. The adventure centre is covered by a giant dome, 5-storey high and of a diameter of 72 m. It is so big it could host comfortably a family of blue whales, the biggest animals on Earth. The monumental replica Angkor temple surrounded by suspension bridges, towers and pools is a breath-taking sight. The world of the "serene statues" is a perfect counterpoint to the use of the most modern architectural and technical solutions, in line with the Aquaworld conception, to create a modern shrine of aquatic culture offering complex adventures to visitors. Aquaworld is located on the northern outskirts of Budapest, at the Pest abutment of Megyeri Bridge, along the M0 ring, in a green area, yet close to the town centre. It has an outdoor car park with a capacity of more than 1000, easily accessible via the Aquaworld exit of the new Budapest M0 ring.

Too far outside the city, food is fear poor throughout. Bars are small and limited food so buffet in the restaurant is best but is poor quality. 25minutes from city, must stay city centre in Budapest. Excellent gym and parking

Perfect place to let the kids go wild for a day. Definitely plan for more than a few hours there. The restaurant is decent (I expected a lot more fastfoodish but it was quite ok) and the various pools can keep the entire family entertained.

We came 18 months ago for a 3 day stay at the resort; Jr. was under 130cm and not allowed on the more interesting slides. Visited city center for New Year's, and he wanted to make a day trip since he's now 132cm and has been talking about it since we left in summer of 2013! Well, there's really a... More

You can spend 6 hours easily in the various slides and pools, great fun from age 2 to 70+. 95% of attractions are inside so great program for bad weather also. All day passs for a family of 4 is around 16.000 HUF (€50), parking is free (open air). Has a café and restaurant inside - standard quality.

this waterpark has nothing too much to offer. We were there yesterday 8th of October and most of the slides were closed. If you want a real fun go to Dubai waterpark called Wild Wadi, it even has slides that take you upstream and you don't have to go up to start a slide by never ending stairs like at... More

Real advantage of this aquapark is opening hours. Aquaworld is open from 6:00 a.m. till 10 p.m., although the adventure pools and the water slides open at 10:00 a.m. We arrived in aquaworld at 7 a.m. and there were just a few people there at that time therefore we might choose the place (deck-chairs) according to our preferences. Aquaworld is... More

This place has changed slightly, in so far as the bus that used to run here for free, doesn't seem to run as often. You can get the public bus, but factor in that cost, and in the evening from 6pm on wards there will be a free shuttle bus back to Heroes Square It's a huge area, pretty clean,... More

This place is amazing. There are 10 slides that I can remember off-hand after spending 2 days there, and it's a fantastic place to have fun with the kids. There are 3 categories of slides - the ones you slide down bare-back, the ones where you slide on a foam carpet, and the ones where you ride in an inflatable.... More

If you are from the US and have visited Wet n' Wild, The Beach, etc. - this will be a big let down. If you live in Europe, it will be pretty decent. We have a toddler - and the two-hour pass was all we needed (you get an extra 15 minutes for changing, etc.). There is a free shuttle... More

All the way we go… in the indoor adventure pool, 11 slides of a total length of almost 1 km guarantee adventure and entertainment throughout the year. The slide tower next to the dome, the entry point of 6 giant slides, is accessible by glass lift or stairs. The bravest can take a breathtaking ride from as high as 17... More
