It is like strange little town in the city. Weird buildings and street arts are the highlight of this place. I was there during the day once, the place is quite dead. I return again at night, it is more lively. Imagine an area of the city with bars, it is just like that. Young people drinking and hang out... More

Some of the art was interesting, but I went during the day and it was fairly empty except for some characters that were heavily intoxicated...I've heard there is nice nightlife there but I didn't go, as far as the day time, the art didn't blow my mind.

Old Town Ljubljana is so pristine and tourist-friendly, it was fun to experience a totally different side of it. All over the city we saw great mural art, actually, but the shear volume of it here makes it unique. We went during the day on a Sunday, so it was virtually deserted, but we still got to explore and enjoy... More

Slovenian christiania, a must visit for alternative culture lovers. Clubs, art exhibitions, partying, close to 3 museums and just by the main train / bust station. A kind of lovenian christiania, a must visit for alternative culture lovers.

We went here during the day and marveled at the amazing works of art on the walls, which can be inadequately described as graffiti. We went back in the evening but must have been unfortunate as there appeared to be very little going on, although we stopped in one of the "clubs" and had a beer and listened to some... More

This place is great either during the day or night. If you come during the day you will definitely have a chance to take some great pictures and be awed by the pinturesque buildings and the odd and eccentric decor. Some great impro performances take place here, so stay tuned and don't miss them out. At night this place takes... More

No one else will because its basically a rubbish tip. Got a Mad Max feel to it and its really a place for young kids to drink cheap booze in a scrap yard and wear grungey clothes. Not my thing but may appeal to others.

A squat in former army barracks. Metelkova is a must for any alternative culture loving traveler. Clubs, concerts, cheap drinks and relaxed atmosphere, reminiscent of Christiania in Copenhagen.

maybe I don't know how to appreciate "alternative art" but for me that is a place full of people which lost track in their life.
